Spode Asymmetry

The A-Symmetry Collection encompasses a unique blend of contemporary sophistication and practicality, to bring Spode's history of innovative shape design up to date. A-Symmetry focuses on three important attributes first Gourmet Eating, where A-Symmetry's archive design is matched with today's trends, which has inspired a collection of contrasting shapes and sizes. This gives the consumer a distinct style and clean white finish, which brings an original versatility that is perfect for any gourmet occasion.

Next is Professional Cooking, where rising star on the British Chef scene Aiden Byrne is using A-Symmetry serveware and cookware in his own restaurant kitchens. He won his first Michelin star, which is the best-known European hotel and restaurant guide, at just 22 years of age, becoming the youngest chef to be awarded this coveted recognition. In his restaurants, A-Symmetry has proven to meet professional quality standards and be perfect for Aiden's sole aim to produce beautiful, as well as tasty plates of food.

Finally, the most important attribute being durability for Everyday Living. A-Symmetry is created from high fired ceramic, with a rolled edge for professional levels of chip resistance. Dishwasher and Microwave safe, this product can go directly from freezer to hot oven, making it a beautiful, strong and practical collection.

Spode has been making fine bone china since the late 1700's. The recipe was invented by Josiah Spode and his son. Today, the traditions continue with the Spode brand under the Portmeirion Group in Stoke-on-Trent in the UK. From iconic blue and white patterns to the rich looks of the Woodland and the Spode Christmas Tree collections, and modern new collections, Spode is at the heart of family traditions.
