The ZWILLING J. A. HENCKELS logo is one of the oldest trademarks on record and is recognized the world-over as a symbol of highest quality and function. The ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS brand was established on June 13, 1731 the day knife-maker Peter Henckels registered the ZWILLING logo with the Cutlers Guild of Solingen. He chose ZWILLING because June 13th falls under the astrological sign of Gemini and the German word ZWILLING means TWIN or Gemini. Since then, the brand has been committed to uncompromising quality and form. Today, nearly 280 years later, ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS is appreciated around the world for its excellent innovative products. ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS stands for knives that are sharper, cut better, are tougher, more durable, ergonomic and beautiful.
