Since 1989, New Balance and Susan G. Komen for the Cure together have been making excellent happen. In 2012, New Balance is proud to be entering its 23rd year as a partner with Susan G. Komen in the fight to find a cure for breast cancer.
New Balance has participated as the National Sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Series since 1991 and the Susan G. Komen 3-Day since 2004 as well as serving as a supporter of the Marathon for the Cure program since 2008.
In addition, New Balance contributed $1.2 million dollars in 2011 through its cause-related marketing program called Lace Up for the Cure. Lace Up footwear, apparel and accessories all proudly wear the Komen Running Ribbon and are supported by shoe box tissue paper, product hang tags and in-store signage that explain the symbol's significance as the icon forbreast cancer awareness and New Balances commitment to Komen for the Cure. The Lace Up for the Cure Collection is available at retail year-round.
