Belk offers two outstanding programs to qualified college students _ the Belk Executive Trainee Program and Retail Internship Program. These programs prepare participants for exciting management positions in store management, buying, and finance/accounting.

Executive Trainee Program

This comprehensive training program prepares you to move quickly in one of three career tracks - middle/upper management in store management, buying or finance/accounting. As an Executive Trainee you are exposed to executive-level subject matter experts during weeks of structured developmental training. Success in each career path is a gateway to a fast-track career in retail.

The buying and finance/accounting career tracks are based in Charlotte, NC. The store management career track is managed by three Belk Division offices located in Raleigh, NC; Birmingham, AL; and Atlanta, GA.

Requirements:

  • 4-Year Degree with 3.0+ GPA in business management, marketing, finance, fashion merchandising/clothing and textiles/retailing, human resources, or related courses of study
  • Retail selling/management and customer service experience are a huge plus for all career tracks
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Willingness to relocate for store positions
