Miss the old formula!!!Please bring back the old, mineral-based formula! It took me years to find a sunscreen that worked so well with my sensitive, acne-prone skin. I loved, loved, loved the old version. It was so milky and light, felt great, smelled great, and worked great. It's the only facial sunscreen I have adored. This new one irritates my skin. It's just not the same. I'm on the hunt for a replacement.
Please bring back the old formula. Why can't you carry two versions (the new one and the old one?- clearly people miss it). I realize the tinted one is still mineral, but I don't always want a tint. It is more messy on the go, for one thing.

SPF 40 version was A LOT betterI cannot agree more with people whose skin don't agree with the new SPF 50 version of this product. I buy this product for my mom who has severe skin irritations and sun allergy. She used to love it. This used to be the only product her skin can handle. Now, with the new formulation, her skin gets irritated and sensitive again using this product. It is also a lot heavier and difficult to reapply. I don't know why Clarins made this decision of changing the perfect product that everybody loved. I used to recommend this product to everybody I know because it was that awesome. Clarins, please bring the old version back. PLEASE.

BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA!!I will agree with everybody else on here that has expressed their deep disappointment with the new SPF 50 Formula. The old formula SPF 40 was only mineral, without the chemical added sunscreens that have many side effects, went on smoother and less oily after applied. It took me forever to find a purely titanium dioxide based sunscreen for the face that was light to wear. I too was surprised when I purchased a new bottle and the formula had changed to an inferior product. Please bring back the strictly titanium dioxide SPF40 formula for those of us who prefer it, and will continue to purchase it, rather than this new version. Perhaps two formulas need to be available.

Not the same as SPF 40 - HIGHLY SCENTED and greasyI have been using the Clarins SPF 40 for over 10 years. I LOVED it so much. It didn't smell like sunscreen, it wasn't overly perfume scented, it was not a bit greasy and didn't leave a gray film on my face when it was rubbed in. Recently I re-ordered and got the SPF 50 instead it is totally different, changed for the worse. One, it is highly scented, to the point where it interferes with my daily perfume and so strong that it makes it impossible to wear during exercise because I'm literally choking on the fumes. It also seems greasy and is not good for under make up like the old stuff was and it definitely leaves a grey hue to your face. It feels cheap and low quality, not like a Clarins product. .

Please Bring Back the SPF 40 VersionMany sunscreens out there nowadays are chemical sunscreen with very similar active ingredients such as oxybenzone and homosalate. These chemical active ingredients are not as stable when applied to the skin and cause irritations for people with sensitive skin. I avoid chemical sunscreen and was always repurchasing the SPF 40 version of this product because it only contained titanium dioxide. It was nice and comfortable on my skin no matter how many times I reapplied it throughout the day, and didn't cause any rash or irritations. This newer version is nothing like the older version. It is such a disappointment to see a great product being replaced by something that is not comparable. Please bring back the old version with SPF 40.

Why did they change something that was perfect? This used to be the only sunscreen that wouldn't irritate my face, and was ultra-lightweight. I was disappointed when the formula changed - supposedly it's better protection, but it's heavy and doesn't work well with my sensitive skin (due to the chemical additives) and it seems as if the fragrance is a lot stronger now. Sadly, I'll have to resume the hunt for a facial sunscreen :( (unless Clarins decides to bring back the old product - and based on the reviews I see here, I won't be the only one cheering if that happens)

Bring back OLD FORMULA!I love the old formula so much! I have been using this product (OLD FORMULA) for years after I discovered that I am allergic to chemical sunscreen. SPF 40 is good enough for all occasions for me, light texture but effective, even protected me from the tropical beach sunlight. After reading some reviews saying the new formula added chemical sunscreen ingredients, I cautiously tried the new version (I got a deluxe sample from a set) on the back of my hand. Like all other chemical sunscreens, it caused rashes all over the area I tried :( Now I am using up my last bottle of the old formula one, I don't know what sunscreen to use in the future...
Clarins, please, please, please at least give poor people with sensitive skin like me an option by bring back the pure physical sunscreen!

Great light weight coverageSo I can't speak to the UV protection, etc because I've only used it in the winter, but after an insane acne breakout due to an IUD, I needed the coverage but didn't want to feel weighted down, and this was my savior. I love that I can layer it over a layer of foundation and it keeps my skin hydrated and the makeup in place. Now that my acne is under control this works an a great light weight weekend coverage plus SPF, which is always appreciated. I find this a little hard to blend, but a beauty bender fixed that issue. I highly recommend trying it, especially with summer coming up, this is going to be my go to!
