Blender way better than my expectationsHi
My blender finally gave up after 25 years. I did not look forward to replacing it as my experience with new tools is that they last about 2 minutes. I was also hesitant to select the Kitchen Aid 5 speed Diamond Blender because the blade and container were one piece. 'The writeup said that the entire thing went into the dishwasher.
I have now had the blender for a couple of months, I use it at least every other day and am very pleased with it! It does the job beautifully, is easy to keep clean and unlike my old beloved blender I no longer have to worry about losing the blade. You guys rock. Where have you been all my life?!So we haven't had a blender in over 5 years, because the one we had broke and I thought, "What do we actually need one for?" Christmas 2016 my mother surprises me with this KitchenAid blender that matches our cobalt KitchenAid mixer. WOW! This little baby is AMAZING! I seriously made muffins with it the other day. Yes that's right...in the blender. Ground up oats, added the yogurt, worked like a charm! We also used it for some Miami Vices one night...and I have never seen a blender grind up ice that quickly or efficiently. I am so happy with this gift and can't believe the superior quality in each of our KitchenAid appliances. 5 stars!

DisappointedThe on off switch is in a poor location and gets activated almost every time I try to remove the container from the base to pour. When it first blends its so forceful you have to hold the top, or it will come off! Also, blender cannot make smoothies, frozen strawberries get caught under the blades and don't get blended, constantly have to stir up bottom to get good blending. Thought the brand was going to be good. Bought this in place of the ninja that didn't come on half the time. I wish I'd bought an Oster, as I keep pulling out my old one from 1980 that works the best. Glad I didn't throw it away. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Blends well but...Works great but I had to return one due to the little bolt on the bottom of the potcher where the blades are getting rusty. I have always washed it immediately after use and let it stay upright after dumping all water. Rust after one month of responsible use is unacceptable for an item this expensi e. my old oster glass blender has never had this problem after 5 years use. I had to return the dirst one for replacement. I still gave it a chance and now leave it upside down to dry. Hopefully, this will prevent rusting. But the bolt on the inside is not stainless steel which is a pity. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great Blender! This was my third attempt at a blender. The first brand I bought could make some smoothies, but couldn't do anything else well. The second seemed to work better, but was not constructed well. One of the blades broke off while it was in use. The KitchenAid 5-speed does everything I need it to do. Makes great smoothies, turns crackers into crumbs, and chops nuts. It is easy to clean - I just put it in the dishwasher.
I gave it a four star instead of 5 because I find locking the pitcher in place, and unlocking it somewhat difficult. I'm glad it's a tight fit, but wish it was easier. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

DisappointingAfter much research, I purchased this blender with very high hopes. Unfortunately, I've been quite disappointed. The reviews I had read raved about the power and ease of this machine. That has not been my experience. I already exchanged one because it was unable to puree an avocado. The replacement doesn't seem to be any better. I tried to puree cauliflower and it was a real pain. I have great difficulty taking the pitcher off the base. I will give 5 stars for the customer service but the machine is not even close to that level. May just return the whole thing and get another brand. Too bad!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Powerful blenderI bought this to replace a more economy line blender I bought 6 months ago and broke on me. Apparently I put too many veggies in it because is started to melt the plastic inside the motor. The screen melted shortly thereafter. So I thought I would spend a bit more on a trusted brand. I wasn't sure when I saw the container was a lighter plastic compound than the heavy glass jar of the last one. But the gradual startup speed, and the virtual tornado that is created within seconds of starting this thing up had me hooked. I won't pack as much spinach in this one to be sure. But from watching it I feel like this one could blend just about anything. Very happy.

Great blender for smoothies!I am so pleased with the performance and construction of this blender. I have had it a couple of months and have no trouble blending up icy drinks and smoothies with lots of fruit. My previous blender had a small base and I was constantly having to move food around with a spoon to get it to blend. Not with this blender! Another nice feature is that it cleans easily and the base stays clean due to the one piece construction of the blender. Very satisfied and did not have to spend $300 for a super duper blender.
PS use two hands to remove blender from base as it needs a firm twist to remove it from the base. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
