Rated 1 out of 5 by jredmond29 from Highly disappointed When I first saw this I had to have it. I already have an older model but loved the color, look and power of this one. It all looked good until I started using it. First, I found it a little difficult to handle the bowl because it's VERY heavy and because its glass you're always conscious of how you're handling it. The motor is very loud, sounds like a lawn mower and then there's the beater not scraping the bowl so haven't used it in a while. When I think of Kitchenaid, I think quality and dependability; about this product, I just think of disappointment. I hope they make this right, too much money to spend on a piece of decoration for the counter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Hikingchik from Not functional Unfortunately, like all of the other reviews I have to agree that the attachments simply don't cover the whole depth of the bowl. I bought this to make large quantities of bread dough, and I am constantly having to stop the machine to scrape the bottom. The bowl just broke after having had this machine for a few years and I am happy about it because now I can just buy the traditional tilt head stand mixer. I would replace the bowl, however, I am not able to find just the bowl. I would have to purchase all of the attachments that came with my mixer, and that would simply be a waste of money. The reviews I have read about this particular mixer have been spot on-definitely would not recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lynne568 from Beyond Disappointed! I am a avid baker and was SO excited to have this. Then I started to use it. Like everyone else says if you're using a single recipe the Beaters don't even reach the bottom of the bowl. So I have only used this about 10 times. Then yesterday I used it, went to wash the glass bowl and it's cracked! I would be the first person to admit if I was negligent in handling the bowl. Believe me, I was not. Which is why with everything considered I wouldn't purchase another one and am SO happy that at least I still have my smaller one to help me finish up for Christmas. What a huge waste of money and a huge disappointment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by karen_baker from Beater does not reach the bottom Ive been holding off on buying a KitchenAid since a long time. I finally got this model and tried to bake a cake in it. I washed the stainless steel bowl by hand and ran it through the dishwasher before using it. It ruined my batter coz of some polishing residue on the bowl. After I cleaned it with baking soda, I tried again, the batter was not discolored this time but it just stuck to the bottom in a thin sheet. I adjusted the bowl clearance as specified to the max I could but I still can’t pass the dime test or get my batter to mix. This is just frustrating, I thought this was going to make baking easier not worse. Very disappointed with this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Frustrated cook from Very dissapointed I purchased this mixer to replaced my sunbeam Heritage mixer. The first one was returned due to a cosmetic defect (I wished I had try it first), now this one is a total dissapoinment. The mixer does not seem to reach the bottom of the bowl,it doesn't mix the bottom because the paddle is to short. I tried to make two different recipies and at first I thought it was my fault. That I probably have done something wrong. But I tried again to make a cheesecake , total disaster. I went online a read all the reviews about others having the same issue. I had always wanted to own a Kitchenaid mixer, I don't know if it's just this model or all styles are like this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Shellpea from Beautifully designed, but not made for heavy work I bought this mixer about 18 months ago and I do a lot of baking! Kitchenaid has always had rave reviews and we used them in school, so of course I wanted the best! Unfortunately my mixers motor has burned out and I'm going to have to buy a new one, because there is only a one year warranty! I'm use to scraping the bowl! You should always scrap your bowl, so ingredients being on the bottom doesn't bother me! What bothers me is the amount of money I spent on this mixer! I was hoping to get at least a few years out of it! I'm so disappointed right now! I have orders to fill this week and now I'm looking for another mixer!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Aspiring Baker from Nice Product but heavy and Bowl Design is challenging I just bought this mixer for my young daughter who is an aspiring baker. I agree with most of the reviews that the bowl is pretty heavy even empty but we bought it so she could see the ingredients being mixed. The give and take was worth it for us and it certainly is a beautiful piece. My biggest complaint is that the bowl does seem to be a little deep for the attachments causing more work to scrape and mix things around with a spatula, which we didn't expect at this price point. Overall she loves it and it's beautiful but for this type of product and price point you shouldn't need to compromise and use a spatula.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Redrocker from Love the candy apple red............... I got this for Christmas to replace my original Kitchenaid that I've had for years. The switch has worn out and the motor sounds funny. I have tried to use the new one twice with bad results. The whisk and the paddle are too far away from the bottom and the sides of the bowl to whip smaller amounts. I tried to make Italian buttercream frosting and the egg whites never reached the right peak. And tonight I tried to cream one cup of butter and the attachments just barely touched the butter. I had to get my old one back out and hold the switch on to make some yummy Baileys frosting. Is this model only for large batches??
