Rated 1 out of 5 by N/A from Does not fit Bought the Orange mixer because that's the one my wife has wanted for years now and I finally was able to save up enough money to buy it for her. She was so excited about it when it arrived, and it came with this pouring shield but couldn't figure out how to attach it to the bowl. After further inspection I found out that this shield does not fit the bowl at all, hopefully if you purchase the shield separately it might fit, but in my opinion you should just save your money. Other than this issue the mixer has made my wife very happy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sam from Doesn't guard any splatter I have tried this splatter guard several times and it just doesn't work! Low speed on this mixer isn't low enough, and it causes the dry ingredients to poof everywhere. Well this reduces it a "little bit", but the flour gets between this shield and the bowl. Kitchenaid: WE ARE BEGGING YOU TO MAKE ONE THAT SEALS TO THE BOWL! Have your Developers base the design off the bowl lids. I would seriously give this zero stars if I could. Rated 1 out of 5 by Kraychav from Poor quality and worse design Like many of my fellow reviewers, I came to this site to look for instructions on how to attach the pouring shield for my daughter's new 5-quart Artisan. As I began to read the reviews, I quickly realized that the problem was not her inability to attach the shield but the shield itself. It astounds me that a supposedly high-quality appliance would have such an obviously cheap and poorly designed accessory. This mixer was a Christmas gift for my daughter. She couldn't wait to use it; and five minutes after setting it up, she realized the shield is junk. I hope this is not an omen. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jen from kitchenaid pouring shield kn1ps I couldn't wait to get the pouring shield for the professional kg25h0xon mixer I got for christmas.we bought one last night.kn1ps. I came online after seeing it didn't fit, to make sure I bought the right one. Now I am seeing all the horrible reviews. Luckily I just bought it, I can return it. Kitchenaid has always been a trusted brand, but a one size doesn't fit all. I hope I don't have this problem when it comes to other accessories like pasta maker. I love the mixer, but disappointed in accessories so far. I am not rating the mixer, just the splash guard pouring shield. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by Iris from Very Thin. Brought this from a a local store thinking it will help with all the splattering. I am very disappointed with it. It's very thin I am afraid of washing it, thinking it might crack. It is suppose to fit 4.5 to 5 qt bowls...it fits but there are gaps that make whatever is in the bowl still splatter out even on low speed...didn't even expect to have such a big gap in the back of the shield. If it's a shield shouldn't it be all closed in? I already used it, don't think I would be able to return it. I don't even want to rate this, but it won't let me summit without rating it. Rated 1 out of 5 by Vegan Baker from How frustrating!!! Does not fit! I have been dreaming of owning one of these dream machines for as long as I can remember and finally, just yesterday, I got my very own Kitchen Aid Artisan mixer! Well, I was just about to make pancakes for Sunday breakfast but when I went to place the pouring shield, it kept on falling and falling. I thought I was just placing it incorrectly, but then I noticed that the shield is just simply MADE incorrectly. This is so frustrating because these tools are not cheap, so if I pay for something, especially something high-priced, I expect high quality. So disappointed. Rated 5 out of 5 by Cecilia from Great if used properly Here is how to use the shield with good results: (1) Make sure the shield is compatible with your bowl. (2) Mix in dry ingredients on LOW speed. It will keep the flour from flying out of the bowl. (3) Pour liquids slowly, hitting the spout on the shield. It will flow down to the sides of the bowl. This is especially convenient for incorporating sugar water into egg whites. I love my shield and use it every time I use the mixer. I have had my setup for over 24 years and have made over 1,000 cakes with it. I am a very messy cook and the shield has been a lifesaver. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by Golferwannabe from Nice concept This shield has possibilities but not if your mixer has the glass bowl. It just doesn't fit properly. I have given up and am now using a damp towel placed over the mixer head when adding my dry ingrediants.
