505 Regular Fit Jeans is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 754.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from NOT the original 505's ! Why the changes ? I bought my 1st pair of Levi's in 1953 and have worn only Levi's since. I switched to 505's because I liked the zipper. They are the only pants I wear; period ! Just bought 2 new pair of 505 regular, rigid. Listed below are the changes I do not like. 1. Only 5 belt loops (for 63 years there were 7) 2. The front pockets are not as deep. 3. Somehow the legs are not the same ? I have always ironed a crease in the legs by folding the leg with the seams together, and ironing them. Did this to my new ones, put them on and the crease is NOT straight down the front of your leg. Very unhappy that you say they are the same as 1967, because they are NOT.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the same 505 What happened to the 505? Not the same jeans. Super tight cut, very tight in the crotch. They sit very low on my hips, and feel tight when I stand but when I sit they are uber tight in the front but way too loose on the back. The material is much thinner. Pockets are way too shallow, and my hands don't fit well in them any more. What happened? Totally different compared to my other pairs of 505 from a couple years ago, but are supposedly the same size. What happened?! Bought these without trying them first, based on the same size of my old 505s. But upon trying I am returning my 2 new pairs immediately. This is garbage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not so bad as compared to previous reviews I have worn Levi products 501, 514, 511, 517, 503, 506, 508, 513, 527, 512, 502, 520, 521, 523, 525, 518,569. If you are a true Levi's fan, please note that Levi always make few changes in their products after every 10 to 15 yrs. The new 505s are short rise but not too short as compared to other branded jeans available nowadays. Even Lee and Wrangler have changed their products as per the modern fashion. And if they are making their old regular styles, the availability is a big issue. My recommendation, if you don't like the new 505, try 501 and if you don't like button fly then try 550. Although I agree there should be a notification while changing the design of a particular model.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from They Reduced the front pocket depth - cell phone doesn't fit anymore Bought a pair of 505's at Kohls in Sept 2014. I measured the pockets of the new 505's against an older pair. The pockets are now about an inch and a half shorter than before and the result is that it is very uncomfortable to keep my cell phone in my pockets. Unless Levi's puts the depth back into the pockets - I will have to go to another brand. I have been a loyal Levi's jeans buyer for over 40 years - but I guess I'll have to go shopping with a ruler next time in order to find pockets that can fit my Galaxy S5 with comfort. With Apple coming out with the new iPhone 6 Plus - they better listen to their customers and put the length back in the pockets.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from 2 belt loops missing, front pockets too small - not the same 505 I have been wearing Levi's since 1966 when I bought my first pair of 501's. I've never been disappointed until this last purchase when the 4 pairs of 505's I ordered all came with front pockets shortened 2 to 3 inches (my cell phone dimension) and 2 belt loops removed from the back! This IS NOT PROGRESS. For every penny that was saved on this blatant cheapening of the classic product there will be lost business because I and others will now have to shop somewhere else to find the essentials. Now my pants sag in the rear forming a W over the one remaining belt loop in the rear. Does this suggest that I should shop Wrangler next time? Also, the cell phone must now be removed from my front pocket when I sit down due to the shorter pocket length and the hip joint conflict. Very uncomfortable. PLEASE CHANGE BACK!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not my old 505 What have they done to the 505? Fit is much tighter, pockets are way too short. My wife bought me 2 pair online. Based on my past of wearing 505s for 20+ years I did't think fit would be a problem. Was I ever wrong. Fit is almost as tight as the 517s I wore in my 20s. Front pockets are too short. I'm no longer confident that what I put in them will stay in them. I've worn Levis exclusively for 50+ years. If they continue changing products without notice I'll probably start shopping for a different brand. Too bad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What is it about the left rear belt loop? I've been a loyal Levi's customer since elementary school. In my mind they were the only real jeans for 40+ years. In the last 10 years or so, it seems that there is something about the left rear belt loop. At first they started popping loose at the bottom after ~6 months or so. My most recent 4 pairs started letting go in the 1st month. I've currently got 15-20 pairs of 505s that that are fine, except either the left rear, or left and right rear belt loops have blown out. I guess I'll go try some of those Wrangler jeans that I used to look down on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jeans, Short Pockets I've worn Levi's 505s exclusively since I was in high school and never had a problem with them. In the past year or so, including my latest order directly from Levi's, the front pocket depth has shrunk by a several inches. It's not an isolated thing. I've purchased over a dozen pairs and tried on countless others at retail stores in search of the old-style deep pockets to no avail. I can't sit down in them without my mobile phone popping out and jabbing me in the waist. Apparently, this is the new normal for the 505s. It's a major flaw in an otherwise stellar product.
