Rated 1 out of 5 by from These levis are too long and don't wear well! I've worn Levis for 50 years years. 501's and 517's have always been my favorites. I recently ordered 2 pair of 517's in my normal 30" length. They're way long! I measured them and they are 33" in length! Levi's haven't been the same, ever since they began outsourcing them to other countries. They don't wear well, the sizes vary from pair to pair. They're thinner and built cheaper than they used to be. The price keeps going sky high while the quality and consistancy is taking a dive. Levi has lost their quality control! I've began buying other brands that wear well and are consistant in their fit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed! My husband has been wearing Levi's his entire life. He was in need of 4-5 new pairs of Levi's, but we can not find any that he likes! They are such cheaper quality now. Feeling his Levi's that were bought almost 8 years ago and feeling the quality of the Levi's now is astonishing! They are so thin and cheap! Everything is "Slim Bootcut" now. The regular bootcuts all look like "work" jeans. There is no up-to-date fashion involved with them. The slim bootcuts have some fashion fading in the legs, but the regular bootcuts have nothing. Its just all blue and it looks terrible. My husband tried on the slim bootcut; however the crotch is super short and small, and his butt crack would stick out if he bent down. They are ridiculous like women's pants! Bring back the old 517 bootcut jeans!! We are very disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring em back I fell in love with the older version of the 517 and the new ones are nothing like the older ones. I'm not concerned with the gauge of the denim. I'm talking strictly about the fit. After reviewing the reviews it's easy to see that a little over 10% of the customers (that have reviewed) agree with me. That's not a huge percentage but converted into market share overall, there is loss. Nothing wrong with new cuts but don't change the old ones and use the same numbers. Bring back the real 517. PLEASE!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like An Old Friend I wore Levi's Boot Cut Jeans for years, beginning when they were Saddleman Jeans in the 70s, and loved the weight of the denim, the fit and the feel of them. I was in the outdoor recreation (climbing, mountaineering, hiking, etc.) business for years where it was advantageous to wear outdoor industry brands. I left that business about a year ago and returned to Levi's as a wardrobe staple. I bought a pair of 517s in Rinse and couldn't be happier. The 14.5 oz. denim is heavy enough for long-lasting durability and to drape well over boots. I love the fit and, especially in the rich blue of the Rinse color, the way they look on me. The 517s are like restoring a friendship with a dear friend, gone too long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit for tall and thin I love these jeans. I am 6' tall and 145 lbs and struggled with finding conservative, dark blue, no frills jeans that fit well (snug waist, room in the crotch, not baggy on the hips, and didn't make me look like I have chicken legs) and were versatile (look good with a t-shirt or sport coat). I spent A LOT of time trying all of the designer jeans and they either didn't fit well (everything seems to be skinny cut and slim fit) or had a ridiculous wash, whiskers, or back pockets. I'm surprised Levi's does not sell these in their store, but I am thankful I can get them online! The 29Wx34L fit me perfectly. My girlfriend loves them too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from cool and tough levi's been wearing levis for some 40 years, Levi's are hard to beat for price, fit and dependability. For pleasure and out in the mining field they have never failed me yet. Levi's are like my marriage, the longer they are around they get better looking everyday.........

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Levis 517 Boot Cut I'm 36 yrs old, 5'10" 170 lb. I've been wearing Levis 517's, (size 32x36) for a couple of years. I really liked the fit of the first pairs of 517's I bought. Sizing seems to be an issue. The pair recently purchased seem to be a little looser fit in the seat and thigh. They are more of a regular fit. Also, the last two pair I purchased are a size 32x34, not 32x36 like my old pairs, and are a little on the long side. Overall they're not bad. I like the fact they sit at the waist and the boot cut, but I would like more of a Slim Fit like my older 517's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits Great, Looks Great For whatever reasons, I haven't bought a pair of Levis in a few years. What was I thinking? These 32/32 stonewashed boot cut 517s are clearly superior in every way to other jeans. From quality of material and workmanship to fit and comfort, 517s are exactly as advertised. Better than advertised, really. 517s are snug and comfortable; no bagginess in seat or knees, even after many wearings. If you wear boots with standard 1.5"-2.0" heels, just bump up one size, say from 32/30 to 32/32, and the length should be perfect with the back hem falling about 0.5" from the bottom of your boot heels. The cost of 517s is comfortable, too.
