Musical Farm Yard Cube
This "farmyard" is full of noisy animals. Compact enough to take anywhere, the four animals sound off with their animal songs and play a lively melody when their noses are pressed. Babies can grasp the padded handle and bump the block against the floor to start the sounds! This feature-filled activity cube also boasts a sturdy teether, knotted tags, crinkly flower petals and tabs, and a toddler-tough plastic mirror.

Rated 3 out of 5 by h2eat3h from Cute Toy The activity cube is very cute and the noises get the attention of your baby. I also could not find where to put the batteries and was about to return it. There is a velcro panel on the bottom that is hidden very well. So good for play but not great for the parent looking for the batteries. Now that I have found the battery compartment, my baby is much more interested in the cube.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grandma fun from Great product This is a wonderful product. Babies love the colors and sounds. It is engaging and I highly recommend. I would ignore the negative comment left by the person who could not find where to put the batteries. Its very easy to find. Hopefully he asks someone to show him at the store.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Young Grandparent from One or the other please My grandchild got this toy as a gift. While it is colorful and easy for her to maneuver, the music leaves much to be desired. It is very difficult to differentiate between the background music and the animal sounds. It make sense for it to just have the animal sounds or a background song. If the point is to have the child associate the animal noises with the animal picture then it is not accomplished. If the point is to have the child enjoy the music then the animal sounds are distracting and not realistic sounding.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Paul from Musical farmyard cube The product looks to be a very good toy however, on removing it from the box there is no place to install batteries. The bottom of the box says to install two aaa batteries but not where. The web site says to install three aaa batteries. This toy will be returned for a refund.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kate from Music didn't work and had stains My review is not for the use of the product because it does look like it would be fun for a 6 month old baby, but for the state it arrived in. The first thing I noticed was a stain on one of the animal's faces (looked like peanut butter). Then when I took it out, I realized that none of the music worked. I was hoping to give this as a present and now won't be able to get a new one in time. I love Melissa and Doug products and this was the first time I was truly disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Oinkedoff from Baby (or 2 year old) can't even press the buttons!! Cute toy...kind of..but what is the point if the baby or 2 year old even can't press the musical buttons to make then pig oink (cow moo, sheep baa...). Is there something wrong with mine or is this intended to not be able to be pressed by the child? Sounds like just a flaw with the design, but geez you'd think you'd think of that. Must be a bunch of Doug's in that meeting, and the Melissa's were all at home playing with toys that's work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Detective Gage from Great for 3-6 Month Old Our daughter really enjoyed playing with this soft block when she was between 3 - 6 months old. The animals all make sounds accompanied by music. It's a little strange that the lamb sort of sounds like it's being killed - reminded us of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho shower scene. But, this led to us referring to it as the Murder Mystery Block. The story begins, "All was well down on the farm..."
