Unfortunately - No two shirts are the sameMy advice to any interested buyer in the performance polo is to visit a local retailer and try them on before buying. I purchased three medium polos directly from this UA site and the size on all three were completely different. One was basically a small, one a medium, and one a large. (all say Medium on the inside collar panel).
The collar material was also vastly different amongst the polos. I love the comfort and performance of these shirts but you need to be in a store and custom try on each shirt you intend to buy to ensure you get the color and fit that is appropriate. Ordering your size on-line is unfortunately a mistake.

I have an idea, and it makes sense tooI think i see a trend with this year's products; there are a lot of Men's items being made smaller tighter and shorter. I think it's due to many very well fit and/or thinner customers finding UA's Loose Gear too big. I believe there should be an additional product type added the the Loose Fit line- Loose Regular & Loose Relaxed Fit. That way there's a loose fitting Polo (among many other forms of apparel) for different sized, AND shaped UA Customers.
I will never be a skinny guy, and I don't want to be. However, I don't think a skinny guy and myself should have to fit into the same shirt. Do you? Let's think outside the box TOGETHER.

big guys don't buy this shirtI have owned several UA polos. All of them 3x in size. They fit perfect and last forever. I finally decided to buy a couple more colors and I was very disappointed. The fit is completely different. I am 5' 8" 290. Believe it or not I have a fairly athletic build. When I was training my fighting weight was 230. So the shoulders in the 3x fit well, but the gut I put on looks terrible in this skin tight polo. It's supposed to be loose fit and it's not close. Trying this shirt on was comical. UA needs to understand that once you get into the 3x size range The slimness scale of the customer shifts to a higher percentage out of shape. Or they need to add the 4x size option.

Too smallI love all UA gear. Everyday I have at least some article of UA on. With that being said, I have bought the performance polo in the past and have loved them. I just ordered 4 more last week and they are like spandex. I get that the athletic fit is in, but when I am ordering a 3x or 4x I expect a little more room. That being said I unfortunately will be returning the product and will have to search for a new go to polo. I still love UA and will continue to buy all their other products as long as they don't start making slim fit 4xl tshirts. And if you don't own any, you need to buy and wear the Boxerjocks. Best underwear out there hands down.

Not the original shirt I started buyingMy biggest issue is the original shirts I have purchased were practically indestructible. The shirts I have purchased over the past year are snagging very easily in the front. My son is having the same issue. This really limits the life and use of the shirt. Snags show even more on the solid colors. Please go back to the original fabric. My wife loved being able to just wash, hang and put away these shirts. Its a shame since I needed to order some extra shirts for our vacation home, but now worry about the longevity.
The new shirts are snugger so I will have to go up a size to get the same comfort.

WAY too tight, uncomfortable.I have NINE of the classic polos (1000490). They are absolutely perfect! Some of them are many years old.
Then UA comes out with the 2.0. (1242755). I'm thinking, "Oh great! They must have improved it!"
Not the case. UA designers decided to make it much WORSE.
1. Sleeves too short
2. Body too tight
3. Shoulder seam uncomfortable, doesn't give or stretch
4. Very uncomfortable for golf
5. Right shoulder logo scratchy on inside
6. Chest too tight
I'm 6'-4" and 240. I have worn a 2XL for 20 years. I can barely get this shirt on in a 2XL! Took it back, bought a 3XL. The fit is awkward.
Please bring back the old version and call it "Classic".
To be blunt, I hate this shirt.

DisappointedI learned long ago not to buy golf shoes without trying them on first. And now a new lesson learned with your shirts. I have a closet full of performance polo shirts and they are all the same size, fit, and comfort. I am disappointed that you have changed standards of these new versions of this old shirt. By comparison they are no longer "loose" fit. The sleeves are measurably shorter and the chest is not the same width. I can no longer rely on your sizing and will no longer purchase your products without trying them on. However, none of the local stores or your outlets stock the full line of golf shirts. Oh well.

Expensive for 1 time wearMaybe it is just me being stupid, but I should have learned my lesson. I have over the last couple of years and the last few months mainly, bought a lot of the polos from UA. The problem is, that the polos are very expensive for one time wear. I have only had like one or two for eh polos make it past the first wash. Then even those couple have only made it 2-3 washes. These shirts no matter how washed snag all over the shirt and become unusable. It is very disappointing. For the cost and the quality expected from this brand it is a hard pill to swallow. This was a very conversation a few of us had at work, and like them I may be walking away from the polo shirts at UA soon.
