When UD junkies cried out for a palette of matte neutrals, Naked Basics delivered and left them begging for MORE shades. (And we couldn’t deny them!) Cooler in tone than the original, Naked2 Basics complements Naked2 perfectly. We loaded this indispensable palette with six TAUPE-hued matte neutrals, including five never-before-seen shades. These shadows are neutral enough for anyone, from cool skin tones to olive complexions to darker skin. So versatile you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it, Naked2 Basics is the kind of palette you’ll reach for again and again. Every shade in Naked2 Basics features our Pigment Infusion Systemâ¢, the proprietary blend of ingredients that gives each shade its velvety texture, rich color, serious staying power and blendability. While many brands’ matte shadows tend to be chalky or powdery, EVERY shade in Naked2 Basics has a rich, buttery feel for the perfect application. It even includes one shade with a slight satin finish, Skimp, that’s ideal for highlighting and adding dimension. Like the original, Naked2 Basics comes in a sleek, soft-touch case that has a suede-like feel and a slight sheen. It’s small and compact so it travels well, yet we still packed it with six FULL-size shadows. What You Get: Skimp (pale nude satin), Stark (nude-pink matte), Frisk (warm gray matte), Cover (muted red-brown matte), Primal (muted brown matte) and Undone (deep, smoky brown matte).

It's just as good as the original. I think these colors are a little cooler in tone than the original. I'm a fair skinned redhead and the colors from both palettes flatter me. I use the lighter shades more than the deeper ones. I think the darkest skin tones would like the palette. The deeper colors would work best obviously. They blend like a dream. I've wasted so much money on trying to find the perfect shadows for daily wear. The price is worth it. I'll probably use it all. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by Carmencita21 from Nobody does mattes better... I bought this pallet for my collection because it was lacking cool toned neutral shadows. This pallet is absolutely wonderful for doing a smokey eye with, and for creating a starting point to a colorful eye. Honestly, I have worn this just by itself since I bought it, and personally I do not like the complete matte look, in my opinion it looks way too flat on me, so I went and bought some of the moo ndust shadows! They add the perfect pop, and give a little more dimension. Overall this is a wonderful pallet, as always the shades are super rich and buttery, nothing less to be expected from UD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by zone9alady from I was pleasantly surprised. I've been buying eye shadows for 40 years.. cheap, expensive you name it. I learned long ago from a book written by Way Bandy in the 70's how to apply eye shadow correctly. Never in my 40 years of purchasing have I come across a palette so ingenuously coordinated. I always use matte now because of my age, and these are all matte. The shades are foolproof. I am fair skinned and have reddish brown hair and brown eyes. I used four of the six shades today and I must say my eyes have never looked more natural and blended without much work. I just purchased two more of the same Naked2 Basics before you run out. I love it! You finally hit the mark especially for women over 50. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jenna321 from Favorite Naked I am a UD Naked Palette junkie. I have all of the Naked Palettes, and Naked Basics 2 is FAR and away my favorite. I am a blue eyed blonde with fair skin that has a heavy pink undertone, and this cool palette is amazing on my complexion. I am so thankful that UD came out with it. I have been using it exclusively for approximately two weeks and it can create the full range of eye looks from a completely natural effect to a full-on smokey eye. The shadows are silky and have outstanding, build-able color. As a 40-something military gal, the fact that UD makes matte shades with such fantastic color payoff is much appreciated. Glitter and sparkle is lovely, but isn't really suited for daily wear in uniform. Please keep making this palette or I will be lost! There can never be too many cool mattes!

Rated 4 out of 5 by McwMeow from Great starter palate for a natural look This is a great palate for that natural looking eye, especially for those of us with Brown eyes. I recommend using a couple of additional favorites to really lighten up those eyes, however. Start with Twice Baked or a similar golden color on the lid, then utilize the Naked 2 Basics to add dimension. Depending on your skin tone, go with Primal on the crease, and blend into Twice Baked bringing it to about the halfway point on your lid. Add Undone at the the far point of the eye and blend into the crease, then complete the look with skimp on the brow bone. Feel free to use black or any jewel tone color eyeliner and you're set! Rated 5 out of 5 by FanNan from BEST EVER! This palette is so good that I can forgive that UD included the color Skimp which I have in my Mariposa palette. I would agree that AT FIRST GLANCE, the colors are similar to Naked Basic, but, they truly are not. There is room in this world for these two and they will work beautifully into any eyeshadow wardrobe. I love, love, love this palette. Naked Basic has been my usual go to palette most days, especially when I want a neutral eye. But this has replaced that as while it is still a neutral, it is a taupe-grey neutral which enhances my brown eyes more than the beige/tan tones of the first one. I must thank UD for bringing out this new palette. I am 60 years old which is probably NOT the typical UD customer, but I love UD -oh, and just as an add on? The new perversion mascara is very good too!! Thank you UD!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Vitorio from Great palette This palette is probably the best all around palette from UD and just about all others! The biggest reason for me is the packaging is the best! The shadows are also great, very creamy, easy to blend and pigmented better than some other mates I have from UD! Going back to the packing this is my favorite I like it better than all the nakeds, although naked smokey might be very close to a tie, this one is so easy to travel with, so sleak, so easy to store, easy to clean and love the feel of it! I wish they made the ultimate basics in to 2 palettes like these! I have basics 1 and 2 and I really hope UD comes out with more like these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LexieFraiche from Travel Friendly Neutral Goodness I needed a good, small, hard eyeshadow palette to travel with and knew it had to be neutral. I also needed something that could afford me a few different looks or a shadow look that could be thrown together in a hurry (without looking like it). I have a few Naked Palettes, but didn't want to bring one (as I wanted all my makeup to fit into at least 2 makeup bags). I decided to order The Naked 2 Basics on a whim and I'm sooo happy I did. The taupe tone is very flattering and the shadows blended beautifully. It's the perfect travel companion for any makeup junkie. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
