Hello everyone: I had a good experience with Amped products before, so I tried the new Ally System. I had hoped the bugs had been worked out &ndash; people complained at first release that there were problems with the server down not allowing access when needed to change settings for monitoring. That was maybe a year ago. Well it is still happening. And worse than I thought. I really hoped it would work but when the server is down - my settings are held hostage &ndash; until who knows &ndash; leaving some without access etc. I will be getting an RMA and returning this product if they cannot deliver on their promise. Don&rsquo;t worry about their return policy, I think failure to deliver what is advertised is cause enough that they will accept returns, no matter the purchase date, they are in breach and at legal risk. A contract cannot be considered complete until consideration and service or goods are exchanged as agreed. They agreed to deliver an advertised and working Ally system complete with the working feature set of monitoring that relies on a server that has a very low amount of uptime, unreasonably low compared to the industry standard. The helpline staff state that they are not in charge of the servers, I assume a third party is running them, Amped needs to settle their issues or take over for their lack of delivery if that is the case. Maybe a class action against both will help Ally leverage some response against the server company they have employed. We have a 2,500 sq ft two story ranch style home with a basement that is 65% underground. We have the fastest internet connection that Xfinity Comcast offers. The main wireless router is in the basement at the base of the steps. The repeater is in the kitchen at the top of the steps. The light on the repeater generally stays on amber instead of green. The connection on our back deck just outside the kitchen (20 feet away from the repeater) is weak at best. The connection at the other end of the house (@ 65 ft away) is sketchy most of the time to the point that my iPhone will often kick over to cellular data for a stronger signal.
