Disappointed in change in shoe designI bought these shoes for my husband because I thought they were the same ones I bought the last two times, which he really loved. I guess the ones he loved may have been called "Journey," and Bogs no longer makes them. He said the Urban Farmer has a narrower sole, which is less stable, and doesn't have the reinforced toe. He uses these shoes to work in the field and around the house outside, so he really appreciated the stability and durability of the previous design. I'm sorry it's no longer available.

great, and not to put on!The people who complain about getting these on must have been raised in the "everyone gets a participation ribbon" school. I'm 32 and these shoes are great. Can you slip them on while standing up, no. Can you get them on with out a shoehorn, ABSOLUTELY! I almost didn't order these because of the reviews that they are too hard to put on. but glad I did. I am a realtor and they look nice enough to wear on showings in the Ohio winter and are easy enough to take off and put on if i have to take my shoes off at a listing. If you are on the fence about these, get them!

BEWARE! You'll need help getting them onI was excited to receive these boots but when I tried to put them on I practically broke my hands. I needed a shoe horn and my wife to get the left one on. We couldn't even get the right one on. I actually like the IDEA of these boots but they've got to go back. Give me good old-fashioned lace-ups. I'm still out of breath from trying to get them on. I really wanted to, too!!!

Best Christmas PresentI bought these for my brother in law for christmas...he LOVES them. He picked them out himself, so I was hoping he would like them...and he did! He said they're the best Christmas present that he received. He really wanted comfortable waterproof shoes, as we live in Hawaii and it often rains throughout the day and he wanted something comfortable for outdoor wear. He LOVES them, did I Say that already? They're great. He's a size 11, I ordered a 12, and that was the best idea. Now I want a pair.

Exceeded my expectationsI bought Urban Farmer after many years it was first released. I read comments that the fit is very tight especially when putting on the boots. With these comments, I was expecting it to be tight when I first opened the box. To my surprised, I was pleasantly delighted to find I managed to put my ankle in on first try. I did not struggle and I was wearing a thick pair of Explorer socks. The sole is very firm however the heel design needs a little getting use to because they deliberately design it rounded instead of flat. I feel a slight wobble on my heel however I do not think it will jeopardise ones balance. Having owned a pair of Carsons boot, the fit of Uraban Farmer is much better, bearing in mind Bogs might have re-engineered the fit. Overall I am satisfied with the fit and aesthetic of the boot.

too hard to put onAs others have pointed out, these are very difficult to put on, requiring two hands (one on the pull tab and the other under the heel) and a seat to get the proper grip. Once on, they are comfortable and look good. But the hassle to get them on is way more trouble than I will continue to endure since I doubt the rubber will stretch out over time, so these are going back for a refund.

Cracked/split within a week of purchaseWe are a commercial lawn care company and my guys love Bogs for their comfort. Unfortunately, the two latest pairs ordered split within a week of purchase. We won't be buying Bogs in the future.

Try a Shoe HornThis shoe has a nice tight fit and does not offer shoe laces, so the tight fit keeps the shoe on when you walk or have to make an unexpected quick movement. They are plenty warm and keep your feet dry, although don't expect too much in ankle high snow. For all of those that can't put a shoe on, try a shoe horn. Ikea makes a nice 24" shoe horn for a couple bucks so you don't have to bend over. Really? The shoe is too hard to put on?! My only issue is that the left shoe cracked on the top, along the big toe within 3 months of wearing them.
