Rated 5 out of 5 by MikeJanis from My Wife and I Love This Set! We bought this set in March 2014. As explained it took a little experimenting to find the right heat setting for our stove. After that it's been a pure joy preparing meals with this cookware. Cleaning is easy with the recommended non scratch pad and bar keepers friend which make the cookware like brand new everytime we use them. The spouts and measure indicators are additional pluses we have come appreciate over previously owned pots and pans. Used correctly food browns beautifully without sticking. This cookware has turned meal making into a hobby and is the last set we will ever never need to buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bearway from Great pan, many more to come! My husband and I after 31 years of marriage are finally geeting new pots and pans. We started with this sauce pan and lid, and we love how easy it is to clean and how fast our food is cooking up. Now we add to our list of growing pots and pans and dutch ovens with Calphalon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by rosyjosy from Great everyday pot. This is a great pot for everyday use. I love it. It has great lid which makes it easy to drain liquids out. Highly recommended. The pot has 5 cup capacity. It's perfect for lentils, rice, oatmeal, gravy or any quick use in the kitchen. I own many other Calphalon items, however, this is my first pot from the Classic collection.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SL85 from Lovely set of pans We like this set of pans so far. It does take some getting used to stainless steel vs. Teflon, but it is a good change. We were specifically looking for pans with the drain feature in the lid. These work whether your right or left handed which was a plus for us. If boiling potatoes, the pan is a little heavy when draining, but still doable. We have noticed that these pans cook hotter than our old set, so we are getting used to that. They take a bit more time to clean, as I want these to stay looking beautiful. After washing, I use BarKeepers Friend on the outside and inside bottom of the pan and then hand dry them. Only takes a minute or two extra, but worth it as they still look brand new. They are beautiful to look at and I love that I don't have to worry about Teflon getting in my food. If something does stick to the bottom, the Barkeepers Friend removes it pretty easily. Overall I am happy with these pots and pans. I think they will last us for many years as the quality seems top notch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Contadina from Beautifully Crafted Pans After much reviewing various pans and costs I, with some reservation, decided on these Calphalon pans. They arrived today and my expectations were exceeded. Nicely riveted handle, beautifully brushed stainless steel and serial number and manufacturer etched on the bottom of the pans. They are not too heavy and not too light, just right in weight. No sharp edges, with simply exquisite crafting. Most certainly these pans add beauty to the kitchen with the promise of life time quality use. The only thing that would make these pans better would be a "Made in the USA" label. Strongly Recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by rich2 from Nice Size and Lid, should be polished inside. I have used this Calphalon pot 4 days a week for 2+ months. I have 2 similar stainless pots I purchased when in Switzerland which I have used for 7+ years. These were every day use pots purchased from a chain department store, not some special cooking store. The difference between the European made pots and Calphalon is they have a highly polished smooth interior surface. All my pots have a pressure bonded aluminum bottom. All pots are made by pressing a stainless steel blank into a pot shape. This stretches the steel and creates microscopic ridges in it. These ridges inside and out must then be polished to create a smooth shiny surface. If the inside ridges are truly polished to a perfectly smooth surface then the stainless steel will actually become almost non-stick and this will Never! scratch off unless you use metal tools. You can see this was not done in the Calphalon pot because it shows the rings inside from the incomplete polishing to a truly smooth finish. You won't ever be able to feel this difference but this microscope increased surface texture will cause the food to stick. This is the real difference between my European made and Calphalon pots. An example, when I add pasta to boiling water in the Calphalon pot, the pasta will easily stick to the bottom unless I keep stirring it for a while. This never happens in my European pots. Anything with a sticky sauce which is almost everything, must be stirred more frequently to keep it from sticking (yes, I have tried all levels of heat it makes no difference). The inside surface texture of my Calphalon pot will get better as I buff it with a plastic cleaning pad when I wash it. But it will never reach the non-stick like surface of my European made pots As someone who cooks every day I really don't care what the outside of my pots look like. I would rather have the polishing effort and expense go into the inside of the pot. Where I actually do the cooking and it actually makes a big difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AngryRobot from Beuatifully Crafted Bought the 8 inch sauté pan last week, and cooking omelets and frying eggs has never been this much fun. I've become stingy with the product and restrict it's use with me and me alone. Even washing it has become a labor of love, I have become hypnotized by it's craftsmanship and it's illustrious stainless steel finish. I will definitely add to this cookware in the near future, I believe it's worth every penny.
