Rated 4 out of 5 by chrispy11 from Nice size Most of the steamers on the market seem to be really small or huge, this one is just right and if you don't need the steamer insert the pot is a really nice size to use for a lot of things. Lid stays tight and vegetables steam to perfection. Only thing that I don't like is that after the first use, water spots appeared on the steamer insert that I cannot get off. I only hand wash my pots so I can't blame this on the dishwasher. It does not affect performance, but considering the brand it's not something I expected. I would still recommend this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Greg K. from Somewhat disappointing I bough this pot to replace a similar 4 qt steamer - also Calphalon - that is worn out. Shame on me for not paying attention to the dimensions because this pot is not what I expected. Much more bulky that the other pot and a much bigger steamer insert than I wanted. Knowing ths now I would not have made the purchase. Oh well. Item 2 - they have significantly thinned up the wall thickness. I don't know if this will have an effect on durability, but I suspect it might.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Maritza from So versitile, healthy cooking and easy to clesn. I purchased the pot with the steamer for my daughter in law. During Thanksgiving I had the opportunity to cook a few dishes for her. I steamed potatoes, broccoli and corn rather than boiling them. To my amazement they got cooked so quickly. I liked the fact that steaming helps keep more nutrients in the food. Cleaning was a snap! Now it's time for me to go and purchase my own pot!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Customshawn from Versatile Piece of Cookware I purchased this for my wife and she totally loves it. She loves to steam vegetables, so it is used often for asparagus, brussel sprouts, and cabbage. She has used the pot without the insert for soup. It cleans up so easy and she loves the sturdiness of the set. This set has exceeded all our expectations!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Since8 from Does nearly everything This pan is so versatile it is indispensable in my kitchen. A small pot of soup, or a large basket of steamed broccoli, it all comes out great. Love having this in my kitchen. With a helper handle, even a heavy load isn't a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GimpyRich from Great steamer We use mostly to steam artichokes. What usually takes over an hour to boil, this pan/steamer cooks 2 large artichokes in about 30 minutes. We use the 2.5 quart sauce pan with a steamer for other vegetables. Easy cleanup.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Finally a Wide Steamer The steamer is wonderful and lives up to the Calphalon reputation. The fact that it is wider than most makes the use even more frequent.
