Rated 5 out of 5 by Debb from Lid did not melt or get damaged. Hello, I just purchased your Calphalon Tri-Ply stainless steel Dutch Oven; I needed it to cook Beef Rouladin (first time attempt). I used it both on the stove and in the oven, and the lid did not melt. Ha! (To me, the clear lid looked like it would not withstand oven heat, however the literature said up to 450 degrees.) So No damage to lid at all! My Beef Rouladin turned out superbly, I'm sure in part due to your most excellent Dutch Oven. Afterwards, I hand-washed it and it cleaned up quickly. Needless to say, I am extremely pleased with this pan; it looks elegant and just reeks with quality! Thank you for making such a wonderful pan!

Rated 5 out of 5 by homeschoolmom from many meals I have had this set for 20+ years, cooked thousands of meals, (4 kids and 3 more step-sons) and these pans cook as well as the day I bought them. The customer service warranty is exceptional the few times I needed one or two replaced. My only bit of advice is be careful with handles (like letting them sit in the sink under undone dishes) because the way they are attached to the pan becomes loose and they eventually can/will become unattached. I've never come close to this happening while cooking, I noticed them loose during cleaning. SUCH AN AMAZING VALUE! Still use them daily...

Rated 3 out of 5 by Zopher from Calphalon Tri-Ply design changes Calphalon changed the design of the Tri-Ply lids. No explanation was given. No option was given to help previous Calphalon owners maintain matched appearance of our sets. Calphalon owners take pride in their cooking tools, and enjoy expanding their investments. Calphalon is an investment in quality cookware. Calphalon designs should not be less thoughtful than matching a handle on fine furniture or a collectible automobile. In fact, it should be easier. Sad to say Calphalon has offered no matching lids. Calphalon could offer to trade my old lids for new lids with a 50% discount. Perhaps that would cause them to think twice before changing an established design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by seussfanann from My first grown-up cookware Great pans. I began buying Calphalon a few years ago as pieces went on sale, always had odds and ends, inexpensive pots & pans before that. I read about the tri-ply type of cookware, knew that stainless is not truly non-stick, compared other brands for reputation / functionality / cost and went with Calphalon and have never once regretted the decision. Heat evenly, stove top to oven. Affordable. While food does stick a bit, proper technique makes it minimal and they clean so easily. I use a stainless steel cleaner regularly to keep them really clean. Have bought these for my older son and his wife and will do so for my younger son when he is ready.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Family Cook from A new go-to pan Recently spent a lot of money on a glass cook top, only to read recommendations that I NOT use my heavy enameled cast iron Dutch oven on it. Very sadly, I put it away and searched for an acceptable replacement. So far, I've been very happy with the Calphalon Tri-Ply Dutch oven. It's sturdy, not nearly as heavy as the old pan, and is currently simmering a balsamic chicken dish for supper. I like the glass cover so I can check on progress without lifting the lid. It's the quality I expect from Calphlon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nwkari from I love these pans! My 10 piece Calphalon Tri Ply cookware set just arrived today with the bonus utensils, stainless steel utensil holder and the Analon 12 inch every day pan! I was afraid they wouldn't be heavy duty and when I opened the door and heard the FedEx man Grant when he picked them up I smiled! They are just absolutely beautiful, very nice and heavy duty, very even distribution of heat and very similar to my D5 All Clad. I couldn't ask for better quality pans for the price and the bonuses! I followed the directions and washed everything in warm soapy water and dried them thoroughly. After reading every review on this pan set, I chose to purchase this set for my every day use. I only use my collection of All Clad for special occasions. After reading the negative reviews about the food sticking issues, I decided my first test today was to fry an egg, following the directions that they provided, heating the oil on medium low and I had absolutely no sticking problems, the egg slid out perfectly on to the plate and washed up with hot soapy water back to its original beauty! With that being said, everyone that had sticking problems did not following the directions that was provided, they didn't allow their oil or butter to heat up and they cooked on way too high of a heat setting. My husband and I are seriously considering ordering three more sets for Christmas presents for our grown children!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Linelle1 from My first fancy pots and pans! I dreamed of having a beautiful set of pots and pans. When we have friends in, the women migrate to the kitchen. I was so proud to have my calphalon SS on the stove. My girlfriends said how beautiful they looked. Shining brightly. Alas, the food was sticking! I almost cried. How can that be? Is it me? I never thought ss would let foods stick. I do cook w/oil. I even tried spraying PAM in the pans then a little olive oil. Nope. The food still stuck. Even bacon and eggs. I am so disappointed. I have been married 55 yrs, and never could afford a set like this before. I am so disappointed. Help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MamaGriff from Great new addition I recently bought a Tri-Ply set, which had a 6 qt. stock pot and a 3.5 qt chef's pot. I really needed something in between to cook pasta, etc. and this fit the bill. Very pleased with the whole set, cooks and cleans nicely, especially if you use Barkeeper's friend. I think Calphalon should include this size pot to their sets.
