Rated 5 out of 5 by steelefred from Beeswax Available in Wide! I've had a little trouble with the desert boot over the last year or so where I thought I was wearing the right size. The length was fine, my big toes didn't touch the end, but my pinky toes would eventually rub against the sides so much that I developed corns on both toes. This was all my fault for thinking that size fit me. I sized up from 10.5 to 11, and still had the issue...until, the wide desert boot in beeswax was released! I never realized my foot was on the border between medium and wide width. The width is definitely noticeable with how the boot feels, but it barely looks wider - it doesn't compromise the look at all! It's not drastically wider, just a little bit, so someone with more than an E width might not fit comfortably in these shoes. With all this said, if you have somewhat wider feet than average and always experience rubbing on the sides of your feet with this shoe, then try the new wide width! I actually find these to be true to size, maybe because I now appreciate having a little extra room in both width and length. I don't know if Clarks recently changed their desert boot across the board, but this wide pair I received seems like an upgrade. The laces seem a tad stronger/thicker, the insole seems like it's slightly more cushioned (barely noticeable), and the upper lining by the top lace holes has this extra patch of soft leather material (not sure why - but a cool aesthetic at the very least). All in all, I'm greatly pleased by this upgrade and wide width being available. I hope Clarks makes all the desert boots in wide width sooner than later!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jimbus from Awful I ordered the Beeswax Desert Boot in the same size as the suede, which I own and love but I could hardly get my foot in. When I finally wiggled in, the Beeswax boot was so narrow and tight in the toe box I thought I wouldn't be able to get the boot off. The length of the boot was the exact same as my suede one but the uppers were ridiculously small. Too bad. I've been wearing Clarks of all kinds for MANY years and never had that happen. Oh well, there are other brands out there with better quality control.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MoeD from Incredible how uncomfortable these were. I purchased these in the hopes of finding something stylish, yet comfortable as I am on my feet most of the day. After reading some reviews I purchased 1/2 size smaller than I normally wear but in their wide width. Trying these on was literally PAINFUL. Something like I've never experienced before. They called this a wide width but they might have made the sole wider and kept the same amount of leather, because as I put the boot on it tightened the leather across the bridge of my foot so badly it caused my physical pain... not discomfort, pain. You might say that I sized too small, thats what I thought until I realized my heel was lifting when I walked. The leather is thick, which is good as you would expect it to last, but its tanned so stiff its like a cheap baseball glove. Im attaching a photo of what the boot looks like after simply trying it on, vs the left which I didnt. I've heard that these need to be broken in to be comfortable, well most shoes do. The problem is these caused me so much pain I could never wear these long enough to break them in. Your mileage may vary, but I cannot recommend these boots.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bpetersen88 from Not as quality as older pairs I had a pair of these I lived in for years and finally broke down and bought a new pair and after two (2) MONTHS the shoes are starting to fall apart. First of the foot bed of the shoe is nowhere near as comfortable and there is no cushion on the heal whatsoever. The leather quality seems to be poor too, my boots are already stained and discolored and the inside around the cuff is start to split and separate. It’s a true let down because thes boots are great looking and easy to pair with just about anything. For $130 I would not recommend these boots!!! :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by SAW1 from My favorite shoe These are my go to choice for business casual to casual everyday use. I recently purchased my 2nd pair of Desert Boots. I liked the beeswax black pair well enough, that I purchased last year, that I recently purchased a beeswax brown pair. Be aware that these are a neutral insole shoe with very little padding in the sole. For my use, I remove the glued-in heel pad and install a high quality insole. With this change the fit is perfect and the shoe very comfortable. 11.5 medium width is consistent with most other shoes I've purchased in this size.
