Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed with new colors I have been using Choco-latte for years and went to reorder and it said "inactive." I went out to the Clinique store at the mall and am devastated to know my favorite color has been discontinued. I tried "Teddy Bear" bc the colors looked close but they are nothing like it. The new formula is awful. Too faint, chalky, and you have to put on several layers for it to even show up. Why discontinue one of you best selling "basic browns" that I know many others use too. We are "everyday" people and the "vibrant" shades may work for a night out, but most people need basic good quality colors for everyday life.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed!! I have been purchasing Clinique's eye shadows for over 10 years. Recently, I went to purchase another quad of 'Choco-Latte" and discovered it was discontinued. In my opinion, it was one of the best palates Clinique has ever made next to "Spicy". After years of wearing each of palates, I am saddened. I ended up purchasing "Teddy Bear" to try it, and it is horrible. I have to use double the amount of each of the shadows and it doesn't appear as beautiful as "Choco-Latte" or "Spicy". I wish Clinique would send an email to tell customers when particular eye shadow palates are going to be discontinued. Def not a fan of any of the new palates, none are even close. Now, I have to search for a new makeup company with a better selection of colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Skinny Dip - great shades! I have been using the Clinique Quads for some time, and i was looking for a new shade set for travelling - compact and with most easy to match shades. I bought the Skinny Dip online and i am very pleased. The shades are 1) the usual white-ish for the base, 2) and 3) light and dark brown, and 4) a very dark green. There is a suggestion about how to combine the shades on the mirror, and that worked very well for me. The shimmer is not excessive, which is good for me. I feel this choice of shades can work both for day and night, and match to a great range of colors and occasions - perfect for when i am travelling for business. Depending on how you combine them, it can turn into a brown or a green/grey palette.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the new colors! I have always liked Clinique eyeshadow because it doesn't irritate my skin, but I have always thought the palates were so boring. These new ones are great. On Safari is my favorite, the goldish greens are really flattering for green eyes, and the color stays on all day without primer and no creases. The purple one is really pretty, too, a cooler purple palate which I like. It doesn't stay on as long as the green palate though. Jenna's essentials is a good neutral palate, but a little dull. The only standout is the liner shadow that has green sparkle in it. I do like the accent brown color is dark enough to make a good smokey eye, but I would stick to the brighter color palates.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please Bring Back Color Surge and the Old Colors! I tried the new eye shadow and do not like it or the colors because it is not that different from what I buy at the local store. Please bring back Color Surge! For the life of me I cannot figure out why companies discontinue some of their biggest sellers and get rid of most of the wonderful color selections. Once I find something I really like I stick with it. None of these "new" colors even come close to the pretty palette colors they used to have in the Color Surge line. It was the only eye shadow I could use that did not cause irritation or fade after hours of use. This new eye shadow does not have the same texture and the color I ordered does not go on as smooth. Now I have to hunt for a new brand which is frustrating.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Teddy Bear color changes!! I have used Teddy Bear for years. I purchased a new compact in June when I was running out of it. This new one is not the same. The colors are so light that people tell me that can't tell I have on eye shadow. I feel like I have to put the whole compact on at once to get it to show up. Stop changing a good product! I am so disappointed! I'll also agree with the other comment. Most of the colors are not for older women now. The new pallets are garish looking on me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Why do you change and discontinue? I am so frustrated because I was using Choco-Latte and it's been discontinued and I also use Teddy Bear but the eyeshadow is different now. Why change something that works so well? These eyeshadows don't work any better than the drugstore brands which I may as well buy and save a lot of money. Clinique, you blew it. Your eyeshadows were one of your best items. You've lost an eyeshadow customer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Where did my favorite shade go?! SO terribly disappointed to learn that my favorite shade of beige shimmer has been discontinued. I have been using this shade for years and it is the perfect shade to use alone for an understated, yet polished look. Of course I attempted to find something similar, but, sadly, there is nothing in the new line that even comes close. I ended up giving daybreak a try, but this is too light for my skin tone. Very disappointed with the new color selections that Clinique has put out. The single colors are almost impossible to use alone, and I really do not want to purchase a quad of four colors just to obtain one that might work. I hate to say this after 15+ years of wearing exclusively Clinique shadows, but it may be time to see what else is out there...
