Rated 5 out of 5 by Luv my Cuisinart from Wonderful processor I inherited my mother's Cuisinart several years ago (I believe it was originally purchased in the 70s) and although it was in great working condition, I rarely used it because it was bulky and very heavy. I finally decided to purchase this one because it was on sale and I figured I had nothing to lose. I didn't think it would be as good because it is much lighter and much cheaper than the original, and I thought that meant it was of lesser quality. I was very wrong. I love this food processor and I use it all the time. It's easy to clean and because it's so much lighter, I have no problem storing it after each use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ryny from Cuisinart -Elemental 8 I have had moments when I forget to put in the chopper.. And I have thought I broke it a couple of times when it wouldn't start. That was stressful for me but I forged on and realized all parts must be in place for it to work! I felt rather foolish. So much to my chagrin I thought maybe I would see if it was in the instructions and stated all compartments must be locked in place to start machine. I think that you might want to notice that on the instructions in big letters. Anyway I do use the processor and really do like it. Price wise it was affordable too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mark M from Good little machine, but.... This is a good machine but I found out that it works best with making small batches. I tried to mix a double batch of dough in it (4 cups flour) and it did not work. It kept mixing the stuff on the bottom but would not incorporate what was on top. It worked fine for a single batch. I guess I was expecting it to work as well as my old 8 cup Cuisinart Classic that I had for over 20 years that I gave up in a divorce. I think the new one just is not as powerful as the old one was so I just have to adjust to doing small batches with it. As far as shredding vegetables and cheese and making salsa it did just as good as my old machine. I almost wish that I had spent more and got the better one but this does do the job it was designed for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rosie Lee from Great buy! I finally broke down to buy a good processor. I am so glad I bought this one! I am actually looking for recipes so that I can use my “new Cuisinart!” It’s easy to use, does everything it claims to do and clean up is a snap. My kind of tool!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nanna1 from Easy to Use and Easy to Clean! We bought this food processor one month ago and we are very, very happy that we did! I have been using it almost every day! I have made soups, salads, hummus, gaucamole, grated cheese and chopped walnuts. I have pureed, sliced, chopped and mixed. This food processor has also been very useful for the preparation of the ingredients for a yummy carrot cake with cream cheese icing! Today I chopped a variety of vegetables to make a salad. I enjoy using this 8 Cup Food Processor to slice cucumbers, peppers, carrots and green onions, and it is great to have a ready supply of prepared vegetables in the refrigerator for the next meal. It saves so much time in the preparation of the vegetables that we are eating healthier foods on a daily basis. It is very easy to use and I appreciate that it is so easy to clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Paddyjoe from A great kitchen aid I have used the Elemental 8 Cup Food Processor for several months now, it is a time saver for chopping, slicing and shredding in meal preparation. It is very easy to clean by hand and in the dishwasher. I have only one concern, the shredding/slicing disks need a bit more support; as they tend to flex and allow items to come between the disk edge and the side of the 'bowl' and sometimes not shred or slice at all. This is just a minor nuisance but still worth having in the kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by barby from BEST FOOD PROCESSOR I'VE EVER OWNED I'm a woman who loves to cook and bake. I've owned at least 10 food processors over my lifetime. Most were klunky, awkward to use, cheaply made. When my last one bit the dust, I decided to pay just a little more and buy a Quisinart. And am I glad I did! It is sturdy. It is incredibly easy to use and to clean. It has all the features I want. And it's relatively small compared to other processors. I LOVE IT! Can't recommend it enough.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Marfie61 from Works Well with Caveats I bought this one to replace my workhouse, cuisiart prep7. This one does not do as good a job even on high. It bogs down with heavier blends, and is very noisy. It is easier to clean than the prep7, and has a larger capacity so liquids don't bloop over and run down the sides. I just miss my prep7 that I had replaced several parts, and it kept going and doing a great job. I will do more research before buying my next one.
