Size up!!!
I normally wear an XXL or 1X dress and ordered this one in 1X at first. I thought that would be the correct size since I bought another Emma & Michelle dress this summer in that size that fits me well. In this dress, the 1X was tight enough that I ordered it next in both 2X and 3X. I could have worn the 2X, but I'm keeping the 3X. The larger size is definitely more comfortable, especially for the summer heat when it's nicer to have a little extra room between the fabric and your skin. It's still close-fitting enough in a 3X to be flattering and not baggy. I wear a C cup bra, and my waist is small in proportion to my hips. I'm 5"5", and the length is ankle-grazing on me. I can wear flat sandals with the dress. The sleeves came tied ridiculously tight, but they were easy to adjust and retie since the knot is not sewn together. I got it at a good sale price or I might not have kept it.
