Rated 4 out of 5 by Doug from I will be using Florsheim again. Great experience! The shoes appear to be great. I ordered a 6 wide and that width seems just right. I do think the shoe runs a little long, but now that i know this next time I'll try a size smaller. I thought the process of ordering was very simple, which was nice, and I felt the price was fair for the product. The shoe appears to be of good quality but I have only had them for a couple of weeks so time will be the key on that. I was pleasantly surprised on how quickly I received the shoes after I placed the order. Overall, great experience. If the shoes didn't run long I would give this a five instead of a four. Rated 1 out of 5 by Robert from Berkeley Poor Quality - Imperial Much Better First off, I buy mainly Kenmoor Imperials and have been VERY happy with them. I've bought my first Berkeley. It arrived with a weird film on the leather that was peeling off. Sent it back with a $13 FedEx charge. Got the replacement pair last night. Same problem. Poor quality. Deciding if my walllet can stand the cost to return again. Makes me not want to remain loyal to Florsheim even though I eeallly love the Imperial line. Shame that they are willing to lose customers because they can't quality control merchandise and sloppily send out inferior goods when someone puts out over $100 for a pair. Rated 3 out of 5 by David from The shoe is very nice overall. This shoe is one of my favorite timeless styles. The main difference I see is in the feel of the leather on this new show versus several pairs I've owned for years. The leather is now very soft and doesn't have the same feeling of durability that I find in the older ones. I believe the country of manufacture has changed, so it is possible that may have something to do with it. One of the things I LOVED about the older ones is the stiff leather, durability, and the shape retention. It is yet to be seen how these will hold up, but from experience I am quite confident they will not hold up as well as the original versions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tamela from Try on before you buy! The shoes are extremely comfortable once you get the right size. Took three tries to get the correct width. Bottom line, make sure you try them on before you get rid of the receipt! They have wide and extra wide, but both seem to be the same width. The first two pairs I ordered in wide and fit like a regular. I had previously ordered a burgundy pair in wide, and they fit perfectly. Naturally, I ordered a black pair in wide, also. Too narrow! I sent back thinking maybe it was a mistake and the second pair was also too narrow. When speaking to customer service, Fawn, she recommended I try the extra wide. These were very comfortable. Only problem is when I'm ready to order a new pair, not sure what size to get.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Sandra from There is a problem with the current Berkley shoes. These are my husband's favorite shoes for work for YEARS. He has owned NUMEROUS pairs. BUT, we received these shoes and there is clearly a manufacturer's defect as he could not even get his foot into the left shoe (the right one was fine). Figuring that we had an "odd pair", we called and they replaced it with another pair and we had the SAME problem and these had to be returned as well. It is visibly obvious that the left shoe is much thinner in width then the right shoe. We continued our search and found a shoe store that had "old stock" and bought a pair that fit perfectly....as always....WHICH PROVES MY POINT that there is currently a manufacturing issue with the latest batch of Berkeley shoes. Hoping this gets rectified soon before it's time to order another pair for hubby. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by Teke from Great value I have been wearing these shoes for years, every day. Always keep a black and burgundy pair on hand. Wish they came in brown. The uppers will last forever. I have the heels replaced twice a year and resoled once a year.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Casual from Looks great like Monet It looks great and not too formal that you can easily wear it with chinos and even shorts. You will get compliments on the shoe and give you instant upgrade in casual wear. However, the workmanship is lacking and details suffer. In close examination, you can see there are glued parts and those are not glued evenly with rough edges. Inside the shoes, the thin inner lining(?) came lose on my first wear (3 hrs). There are other miscues in detail so make sure not to look too closely. I doubt this shoe will survive thru more than one season of wear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AKC from Good shoe, soles wear out faster I wear to work every day. Walk from parking lot to building where it's generally carpeted. Something happened with my most recent couple of pair where the heels and soles have worn much more quickly than previously. I had them resoled and re-heeled. Even then the remaining sole cracked after a year and was unsightly, although upper still looked good. I like the shoes, but would like the soles to wear longer, like I think they used to. I remove the name tag inside on the heel because it wears holes in my sock heels much more quickly.
