Great fit, thinner material than signature shirt, low quality fabric
The fit is perfect for me. L for 6' 235 lbs with fairly muscular build. Not too tight. Not sagging in the armpits like the signature shirt.
The material is noticeably thinner than the signature shirt and has a silkier feel (vs a softer feel for the signature). I am pretty warm blooded though and I like this.
The problem is that the fabric doesn't hold up. I bought a bunch of these (~30) once I realized the fit was better than the signature. I always cycle the wear...stuff coming out of the wash goes on the bottom of the stack and I pull shirts to wear from the top.
The shirts still look like new. Only been cycled (worn/washed) a few times each. However a bunch of the shirts have holes in them. Not on seams (not a stitching issue) but in the middle of the fabric. I haven't seen this with any of my other shirts, only this specific model.
I have a front-loading washer and dryer and only wash these shirts with lightweight stuff. I don't wear jeans, so just the t-shirts, polypro boxer shorts, low-cut smartwool running socks and a pair or two of nylon/polyesther cargo-pants.
So after a few uses I had to start throwing a bunch of these out. Really disappointing. Anyone recommend another shirt with the same cut that doesn't have this quality problem?
