Purchased for a wedding and
Purchased for a wedding and they were extremely comfortable! However, in putting them on before the wedding they did get scuffed on the toe very easily which was frustrating and made the toe have a distracting scratch.

Handsome shoe, scratches easily
The Sayer Cap Toe is a great looking shoe that meets at the corner of style and sensibility. Both my husband and son wore the shoe for my son's wedding. My son, with an average width foot, had his shoe stretched by our cobbler before wearing as it was tight out of the box. The leather scratches quite easily.

Great look but a little stiff
The shoes look great! But they are a little stiff. The first day I wore them caused blisters on the back on my heels. It’s taken 3 or 4 day-long wears to get them broken in (with band aids on my heels). I’m not sure if they just run a bit small or if it’s really a “breaking in” phase. But I love how they look.

Too expensive to look ratty after just two times of use
Paying way too much money for a shoe that looks like it is months old after just two times of use. Seems on sole already look like they are coming apart. The heel has a discoloration after just one use. You can tell it is poor quality. It's a shame as J&M shoes used to be the best of the best.

Best dress shoes I have purchased yet!
I own probably 10 pairs of J&M's and have owned other brands as well. No question the Sayer Cap Toe dress shoe is at the top. Extremely comfortable and very classy, these shoes are my go-to for impressing when wearing a nice suit. They can also be worn with more casual pants as well, if you want to dress them up. As usual, J&M's aren't cheap, but I believe you get what you pay for. Always worth the price and actually a good deal when you consider what you are getting.
