Rated 1 out of 5 by Sonya986 from Terrible Doesn't fit. Chute too short to do any good. Opening in back too wide causing ingredients to fly out. Cost way too much to be unusable!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Faith E from Terrible shield I've had my original Kitchen Aid for over 25 years. Finally treated myself to an Artisan model after all these years. Imagine my dismay at the totally useless shield that came with it. It's loose, falls in the bowl with barely a touch, the chute is too shallow, and it's not one complete piece like my old one. I even tried to fit my old one on the new one. Nope. You need to redesign this product pronto. Very, very disappointed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by jfoll from Terrible design. Doesn't work very well I got the 5qt tilt-head stand mixer a couple years ago for Christmas and was so excited it came with the pouring/splatter shield. Unfortunately, I was sorely disappointed when the shield did nothing to keep the dry ingredients from flying out of the bowl and all over my counter and floor! I have since got the Blass bowl (which i love) and attempted to try the shield again - what was I thinking?! Flour was everywhere! The pour spout is also was too small to pour anything like sugar or flour where partials can go flying. Very poor design. They need to recreate this cover so that it not only stays securely on the bowl (both glass and metal), but close off the openings so dry ingredients don't have a chancestors of fly out of the bowl.

Rated 1 out of 5 by EileenCh from WORST PRODUCT EVER I can't believe kitchenaid still sells this product considering their reviews. Trust me, these reviews are very accurate. The lid does not fit the bowl securely. It will pop off at the slight touch or even shake of the bowl. I poured flour into the spout and my measuring cup touched-just slightly touched-the shield and this made it pop off. It has this terrible design that only part of the bowl is covered so flour will still fly everywhere. I would challenge Kitchenaid to take this product home and use it yourself. Its impossible! Even with the machine off, any movement in the surrounding area will trigger the lid to pop off the bowl and hang there. So disappointed in you Kitchenaid.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Jineta from Pouring shield is worthless I bought the mixer (it is my second Kitchen Aid) in December. I love the mixer, but the pouring shield does not do the job. It comes out of place, lands in the mixing bowl and each time I use it, end up with a mess on my counter. It doesn't do the job. It seems like KA did not test this product before putting it out there. The old, whole piece pouring shield did the job. KA, please go back to that model and get ride of this pouring shield.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Cjames from Wish I'd read reviews before purchasing I'm so sad. This thing is worthless. It doesn't stay on at all. May work as a cover, but could never use for pouring.

Rated 1 out of 5 by cplummer from Doesn't stay on. Poorly designed I was so excited this came with the stand mixer I bought the other day... then I tried using it. It doesn't even stay on. You have to make sure it lines up correctly and even then it won't stay on. It's completely useless. I should have saved myself $70 and got the cheaper model that didn't come with this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by cookie time! from disappointed My husband bought me the Artisian stand mixer a couple of months ago, I thought it was weird that it did not come with a pouring shield, so i bought it separately and what a disappointment. It doesn't close /fit tight around the bowl and the gap allows flour to spray out onto the surrounding area. I threw out the packaging, or i would return it. I love the mixer, it was an upgrade from a competing stand mixer, and it is far better. I just wish the shield worked.
