With superior payoff, this formula adheres to the eye lids with extreme comfort for a smooth finish imparting a soft, creamy feel. The non-dusting colour is easily layered or sheered while remaining long-wearing and crease-resistant. Striking a balance between convenience and functionality, each shade can be removed from its compact case and placed in a larger custom compact for easy personalization. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatest Eye Shadow Ever I just recently discovered Laura Mercier eye shadows after literally spending thousands of dollars over the years on all different kinds of eye shadows that I didn't like. I bought 2 of the plum smoke, 2 of the black plum and 2 of the buttercream. All of these colors are wonderful! They go on so smoothly and stay on. I love matte purple eye shadows and I could never find any purple matte colors anywhere. I will never wear any other eye shadows now besides Laura Mercier. The pigmentation is great and these purple matte colors are beautiful. Sometimes I mix the 2 purples together for a different look and other times I wear them separately. I would highly recommend these eye shadows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fell in love I absolutely love the ginger eyeshadow. I have been looking everywhere for a peachy eyeshadow, but the colour seems to be nonexistent elsewhere. I use ginger by itself to create a natural look for daily makeup. The shadow is greatly pigmented, and it feels extremely soft and smooth. The shadow particles are so minute that they stick very well, and without any dust flying off. I bought this after finding out that it was a shadow frequently used by a Korean celebrity, Suzy, and I am so glad that I did because it just has such great colour, pigmentation, and quality. The ginger colour is great for people who want a pure, natural look. I love that the eyeshadow case has a mirror, but it takes some effort to to open the case. There aren't any other cons to the shadow, but I do wish that LM opens up free standing stores in Vancouver, B.C. It's so sad how the price shoots up in LM stores inside other stores like the Bay. To end this review in a positive note, I do look forward to buying other shades of this product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally, a GREAT matte shadow! I am SO happy that I have FINALLY found a truly matte eyeshadow! It seems that the majority of eyeshadows available these days all contain glitter and sparkle, and I have NEVER liked that look. In my opinion, glitter eyeshadow belongs on little girls playing dress-up, or junior high-age girls who are experimenting with makeup, and think that the glitter shadow looks "cool". However, that "cool" look on a 12-year-old, is entirely age-inappropriate on women "of a certain age". I also like the texture of this shadow, and the fact that it doesn't seem to spread a lot of "dust" when it is applied. In the past, I have typically used cream shadows, since I hate the "dust" of powder shadows; so I was a bit hesitant to try this, but am VERY glad that I did! It is obvious that this product is made with quality ingredients, and is worth every penny of its price! My only complaint is in regard to the compact in which the shadow is contained; it is difficult to open, so I keep the lid slightly raised, so that I don't have to struggle with it each time that I go to use it. Otherwise, I LOVE this shadow, and highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best! Laura Mercier makes the best matte eyeshadows ever. Actually, all of their shadows are good but the matte formulation is superior by comparison. They are so rich and pigmented. They blend with flawless ease and allow you to create some of the most beautifully blended eye looks. I was already a customer for other awesome products in the line, but for some reason, I had not gravitated to their matte shadows...even though they were in gifts sets, etc. About a year ago I saw an LM rep and had to know what was on her eyes because it was so beautiful... If you are not sure which ones to try first I recommend using an eyeshadow primer, flat shader, crease and blending brushes with Sesame (lid), Cashmere (crease) and Truffle (outer V)...with black or brown winged liner. Prepare for the compliments as this is a classic, showstopper combination on everyone - trust me. You can use Truffle as your lower liner to complete the look. Also, Truffle on the lid and crease with something neutral as your highlight is so pretty all by itself too. It's the perfect chocolate brown and also great for brows too... A second gorgeous matte look can be achieved using Sesame (lid), Truffle (crease) and Twilight Gray (outer V) to smoke the look out. It's stunning. Everyone should have Twilight Gray in there collection. It's the most beautiful gray I own, and is also great on the light with a neutral highlight. I was stunned at the number of people who want to know the colors, brand etc. every time I wear this combo...it's unreal! Last but not least, if you want a fresh, intriguing alternative to the traditional smokey eye....try this: Cashmere (lid), Plum Smoke (Crease) and Black Plum or Twilight Gray (outer V.) I won't be satisfied until I have the entire collection and plan to add Blue Suede next! I 'm going to wear it on the lid with Truffle in my crease and Twilight Gray or I may also purchase Deep Night...but I had the first 2 with Twilight Gray on the back of my hand and several people want to know what it was...so I know it's going to look pretty. Enjoy these treats...they are totally worth every penny. And I forgot I also have Vanilla Nuits and that can be used in place of Sesame on all aforementioned suggestions. And I do not work for the company but when I product is good, I share! Thank you team Laura Mercier...keep making beautiful colors! The only concern I have is I would love to see see more permanent matte colors in the collection...a wine or burgundy would be so pretty...imagine it with Cashmere. You could call it Merlot. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In a class by itself! I recently started working a a department store, and I had never worn Laura Mercier before. I had heard good things about it, so I purchased three eyeshadows after trying them out: Morning Dew(highlighter), Fresco(lid), and Cafe au Lait(crease). I keep them in the three-shadow pan. They are soft, non-drying, and blend seamlessly. I thought they were pricey at first, but it beats having to purchase many other products hit-and -miss style.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product, but remember it is MATTE Matte Eye Colour is WONDERFUL for base shades (i.e. the shade you wear over your Eye Basics). Personally, I used Vanilla Nuts - it works just fine. I have used Cafe au Lait in the past. It was a dramatic change for me, considering that I usually use Lustre as contour colours. For me, Matte works fine as my base shade - but that's as far as it will get. Also, use the All-Over Eye Colour brush (designed for mineral eye colour) for proper application.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice eye shadow but................ I love the color (Vanilla Nuts) as I like to wear light shades because they open the eye area. However, you must need a primer because the eye shadow did not last 6 hours so that is why I gave it 4 stars. I will try it with a primer to see if it will last all day for me. I love LM's products that I currently own and will purchase again. I actually would prefer a matte cream shadow so I will have to see if LM carries that too.
