Silk Crème - Oil Free Photo Edition Foundation is rated 2.2 out of 5 by 88.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Brin gback the old formula! I used the old Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation for YEARS. And as a makeup artist too it was what I always kept in my kit. This new foundation is NOT THE SAME FORMULA as others have also said. Its is very runny, not full coverage. Now you have to choose between either matte or luminous where before you got the perfect satin finish every time! I am very very disappointed because this was my holy grail foundation. They should have kept the old formulation and just added to the product line if they were looking for the change, because what they have exchanged it for is not even close. now I'll have to ration out what I have left and try to look for something else that I like.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please bring back the old formula Please bring back the old formula! The new formula separates much more easily, is much more watery and thin than creamy, and makes me break out. Plus the new formula does not provide the "luminous" quality that used to be present with the old formula. I wish that LM would at least just introduce new products rather than discontinuing long-time products that obviously have such a huge fan base. I've tried the other LM foundations in hopes of finding a substitute and none of them work like the old silk creme. Unfortunately, I will have to find another brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back oil free foundation that's not as heavy I am a devout customer of LM products. This was recommended by salesperson since my usual oil free foundation is no longer available. Coverage is too heavy. And tinted moisturizer does not provide any coverage. Add a LM foundation that will provide some coverage and is oil free. Similar to the one I have used for years!! I wish the salesperson would have informed me that LM was discontinuing the oil free foundation. I would have bought an extra bottle before it was no longer available. Have any bottles of golden beige that I can purchase? Very disappointed in the change.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring Back the Old Formula I ran in for a refill right before going on vacation and was told the company had re formulated the Silk Creme so I bought the oil free version. It was terrible... doesn't blend well, settles in to my pores, lacks good coverage, looks cake-y and, despite having had oily skin for all of my 43 years, this foundation somehow makes me look like I have dry, patchy skin. Back home, I hoped things would be better with all my usual products, but nope. The new formula is consistently awful. I don't have great skin- too many past breakouts- but with the original Silk Creme I'd receive compliments on my skin, and I knew it was because of the foundation. Now it's back to the drawing board to find a replacement, and that makes me sad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the same as original Silk Creme I used the silk creme in Hazelnut for several years to effectively cover melasma (brown spots on the skin). It provided wonderful coverage, photographed beautifully and stayed smooth all day. I recently purchased the "new" formula and by the end of the day the foundation had settled into my pores giving a mottled look. Also, less coverage! Also, different colors and nothing comparable to Hazelnut. Please, please bring back the original formula and expand the color palette. I have tried MAC, Estee Lauder Double Wear, and neither comes close to the original formula.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Please bring back the old one!! After years of acne and continuing to suffer from breakouts I have always struggled to find a foundation that covers scars, hides my oily skin and doesn't cause further breakouts. I read about the original oil free foundation in a magazine a few years ago and have been using it ever since, then it seemed to be discontinued and after trying this and another Laura Mercier foundation neither do the same job. It only lasts a few hours before my skin gets oily again, causes some dry patches over any spots that I do have and has caused breakouts. I am now going to be forced to look for another foundation from another brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed For 15 years I used Laura's oil free supreme foundation. I loved it. It had great coverage and made my skin look flawless every time. I can't say enough good things about it. Then it was discontinued and I was sold this as its a replacement. Let me just say this foundation does not come anywhere close to replacing the oil free supreme foundation I was using from Laura. This is sold as a full coverage foundation whereas the oil free supreme was medium coverage and the coverage I get from this foundation is less than I received from the medium coverage oil free supreme. I won't be buying this again and will be looking at other brands for foundation. I have been using Laura's products for over 15 years and the quality in this product does not live up its reputation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The old formula was so much better... I really don t like this new formula, the first Time i bought the old one i found the perfect fondation for me : perfect coverage but with a super natural effect, my skin was flawless even with the non oil free formula. Plus The old formula was not comedogenic... I think there are some silicones un this News formula and my skin cant handle it... I dont found the super natural coverage of the old one and trust me i try a lot of fondations and brands to find an other perfect fondation but they dont equal the old formula... Please please please bring it back :(
