Eye Brows Styler is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 43.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from GARBAGE. Why, why why? Why would you do this to us, MAC? I hate this pencil so much. The old pencil in Stud was a staple of mine for the last 15 years. I always made sure I had a backup on hand for when the current one ran out. This one is horrible. It drags, the color isn't the same. I'm so mad. I don't care about having a spoolie at all, I want my old pencil back. Please listen to your loyal customers because this is a complete flop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What Were They Thinking!?!?! I agree with the majority of negative reviews, this product is beyond terrible! I actually have an original pencil, alongside this new version and the differences are obvious. As already stated by others, the colour pigment of Stud is way lighter (which is the darkest option!) and the formula is not as easy to apply - I'm assuming it was made thicker/less creamy to accommodate the retractable feature. So, now after many, many, many years of a solid eyebrow routine, I have to find new products / method which, so far, has been unsuccessful! Way to alienate loyal customers!!! A heads up would've been appreciated! On to the next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from new vs old Like most ppl I was very upset that my eyebrow Spike pencil was discontinued. I have been using that specific one for over 12 yrs. I resorted to buy an off brand till I figured out what would replace it. I read all the reviews on MAC eyebrow products & non gave me reassurance. I noticed that this Eye Brow had no reviews.... So I took a chance & ordered it. O was I excited and sceptical when I read MACs email NEW &IMPROVE brow. I have worn it twice in over 80° weather..... And I love it!!!! No smudges & fading after 15 hrs!! & I have Oily skin!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won't buy again I purchaed the new design eyebrow pencil in stud yesterday, and used it for the first time this morning. I, like others who were unhappy with this product, found that the hard texture and waxy consistency of the pencil does not allow for a smooth, easy application. Instead, I had to press down (very) firmly to apply, which rendered the filling in of my brows (much) less natural lookimg. I like to fill in my brows with light strokes, and not look like my brows were drawn on with a Sharpie. As I am no longer able to achieve my desired look -- after over 10 years of happily doing doing so with the predecessor -- I will no longer purchase eyebrow pencils from M.A.C. Sadly, my search for a new brand pencil begins today. :-(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I want my old spiked pencil back. I have been using the spiked eyebrow pencil for years. So disappointed and disgusted with MAC for trying to fix something that wasn't broken. Now I have to resort to trying to find another product that works just as well. MAC this new product is not it! I will think long and hard about any future MAC purchases. I hope you are hearing the concerns of your customers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from So Disappointed In The 'New'Spiked Pencil! I echoe everyone's sentiments on the disappointment we ALL share on the new formula for the Eyebrow Pencil... I wear Spiked and it is most certainly NOT 'improved' by any means! The color is not the same as the old formula, it doesn't go on well, it now takes me longer to apply it after I mastered the art of applying this pencil over a 15 year span... And I'm sure it's closer to 20 years that I've used this pencil. Also, what I'm missing is the slimmer old pencil... This had everything to do with being able to apply it precisely. My request... along with everyone else... is to PLEEEAAASSSE bring the old formula/pencil back!! PLEASE!! I didn't need the brush on the end, I was perfectly ok without it... so if that's what it takes to get the old formula back, then take the brush back!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not so great color change Several reviewers have legitimate complaints I totally agree with: -The color change (why?) Took me a few tries and returns because the color tone was so different. -Spoolie on end (less product?) -Same color caps that have a slight difference in size (confusion every time trying to figure cap goes on which end) -Formula change makes pencil less brittle but the amount of strokes for achieving even a natural look is annoying. So due to spoolie (less product) and multiple strokes needed, the product isn't going to last long, so would have to replace often. Hmmm...
