Rated 4 out of 5 by BG from Great Interactive Toy I recently purchased this item for my son who has speech delay and I use this toy to practice animal sounds as we match the animal to the right cut-out shape on the ark. Since it is Noah's Ark and there are two of each animal I can hold up one of the animal pieces and have my son try to find the "matching" lion for example. Overall, it is a nice durable toy that has become a staple during family play time! Have to also add that I love that this toy does not have flashing/blinking lights, talks or makes any noises at all:-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by Little C from Fun with the animals!! My son got this for his first birthday and even before he could put shapes into their propper place, he loved to see the different animals. Most cute was that he loved to look for Noah. Now that he is almost three he is very proud of himself when he can put the animals into their propper place. He has always enjoyed matching up the pairs and telling me what each animal was. Good use of shape sort that is non traditional shapes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Mommy from Fun but... Since my son was 1 year old, he has loved playing with the animal pieces, lining them up, etc. However, as a shape sorter, this really doesn't work great--some of the opening are so big, that he figured out he could put the smaller pieces inside the bigger holes! I do love that it is Noah's Ark and that he loves playing with it, but it doesn't necessarily work as a shape sorter. Though it does teach problem solving skills (where to put a piece if it doesn't fit somewhere).

Rated 4 out of 5 by tamlar from Excellent toy! This product was a gift for my one and two year old children and we have found it to be an excellent toy. Neither of them are old enough to understand the shape sorting aspect but almost all animals will fit through any of the openings which they love and it has 2 doors on elastic hinges which they love to open and close. There are ALOT of animals, many more than I expected to see. The only things I didn't like was that it was made from particle board, a cheep product made from compressed sawdust which expands and warps if it ever gets wet. I would have liked to see it made of solid wood, aswell it would be great if the pictures of the animals were printed on both sides of each figure. But all in all a great toy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by visitor3 from shapes fall thru & easy to turn sideways The pieces fall through the holes and do not rest in place as shown on the M&D photos of the toy, which show each piece staying in place like a puzzle to be completed. As a shape-sorter it is not challenging since every piece fits in every hole -- just turn it sideways. With no little knobs on the pieces, toddlers hold them sideways anyway. Toy fails to challenge or satisfy. Toddler liked matching up the pairs of animals, but once the pieces went in the ark, the giant cut-outs let them fall right out which frustrated her.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tawna from Excellent Toy My grandchildren love this toy. It is so much fun for them to play with, and keeps them entertained for hours. This is one of the best toys I have ever bought. I recommend this toy for everyone who has small children.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Mom from Not a Shape Sorter! This product is cute, durable, well made. It is not a shape sorter though! The holes for the animals are so big that any animal can fit into almost every hole. When I pick it up to clean or move it, animals fall out. The picture makes it look like the animals fit into a spot and they will stay there but that is not the case. When you open it you will see that it is packaged to look that way but really it is just a big mess.
