Magnetic Responsibility Chart is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful! No more nagging! Love, love, love this product! As parents we got tired of nagging or felt guilty when we let their chores slide. We don't tie it to their allowance, however. We give them an allowance to teach them about money. We make them do chores because they're a part of the family and we all pitch in. So, at the end of the week if we've all been responsible the whole family gets a treat - going out for ice cream or renting a special movie. We decide in advance what we're working toward. (And if it's expensive we'll all agree on two weeks worth of responsibility). They love the input they have. If they need it, they can always earn extra money by asking for more responsiblity, though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from L-O-V-E IT!!! I absolutely adore this responsibility chart. I bought it about a year ago, and I still use it daily. At first, I chose which chores and behaviors I wanted my (now 3yo) daughter to work on. Now that she knows what they all say, she gets to pick. She would beg and plead to learn how to "show respect" and "keep hands to self." She gets excited when it's time to "take out trash." After a year, earning happy faces is still a big deal. In fact, I don't even have to ask her to make her bed in the morning. Whether or not it's a responsibility for the week, she makes her bed before coming down for breakfast! I hear other parents complain about the "terrible 3s," not me! I love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My son loves being responsible! We recently bought this for our four year old. He never wanted to do anything for himself including simple things like getting dressed and brushing his teeth. This chart has activities that can be changed to be geared towards simple tasks for young kids or more complex chores such as dishes, laundry, etc. It has made my son proud that he can take responsibility for himself and gets rewarded with a smile at the end. It is a chart we will use for years to come. We are going to have to get another because even our 2 year old wants in on the responsibility action.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tool ! ...although I wish... We love this product for all the same reasons that everyone mentioned!! IF I could change one thing it would be chart placement. It would easier for the Responsibility Chart to be on the bottom board, and the extras to be on the top board. My reason is that I have to place the board very low to the floor on the wall for my son to reach the Responsibility Chart. The extra pieces get in the way by being on the bottom board. Maybe this is just an issue in own house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sanity Saver I have a very willful child, she likes to turn everything into a fight. The worst things were keeping her hands to herself, cleaning up her room and getting ready for bed. I was tired of the screaming matches and I was at wits end because nothing seemed to get through to her. This product saved our household. My daughter responds amazingly well to getting smiley faces. I have the board set up with the smiley faces on a rating system, so she can tell when she could have done a better job. Each day she does what she needs to do the rating gets better. If she has done a good job at the end of the week she gets a special treat. The better she has done the bigger the treat. Since we started this she has stopped hitting kids at school when she is frustrated, stopped arguing about picking up her room - she even cleans between play times now and no more screaming matches before bed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kids as young as 2 can use it My kids are all preschoolers and love this chart. They like putting the magnets on and it gives us a chance each day to both praise and to discuss what needs more work. I've seen it work on our 3 and 4 year old when we say "you need to work on not whining/sharing" and the for the rest of the week, they're much better. I wish there were tiles for "Obeying," "No Jealousy" and "Accepting Mom's Decisions," but we just write those on the blank tiles provided.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME!!!!!!! Since the day My Grand-daughter opened this, She has done everything in her heart to work on getting her tasks completed. It hangs in our living room, so it inspires self pride. She is 4, and uses the pictures to figure out which task is ahead of her. I love love love this!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved My Sanity! I saw this product in the mall, and it seemed to be the answer to my prayers. We have 6 yr old twins and a 4 yr old. My huband and I are constantly battling with them to get the simplest tasks done, and they are constantly fighting, whining, etc. When I bought this and presented it to them, they were very excited to get started right away and haven't missed a beat. I printed out play money, and every day when they fulfill their responsibilities, I give them 1 play dollar. At the end of the week, they can "cash" in their money for a small reward of their choice, or save it for something bigger at the end of the month. I do hope this works for the long haul. We'll see how it goes. We're trying to reinforce positive behavior and responsibilities, but if they do forget and falter, they loose 1 smiley face with the chance to gain it back by doing better next time. I think this is well thought out and gives kids a sense of accomplishment and proud of their daily achievement. Every family should have one, and they would make really great Bday gifts too!
