Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT GOOD- BROKE ME OUT The first reviewers were unanimous: This product was a disappointment. (I found it strange how the rating picked up again, but that's another story) I tried it for myself, after being a long term user of the fantastic old formula. The consistency is strangely thick, it seems like it says at the surface and forms a film, like any beach SPF. I wanted to give it a chance, used it for a week and then IT BROKE ME OUT. Thanks very much , but thanks. Because I won't waste my money, I may use it for exceptional occasions, but never again as a daily product. Anyway, I switched to the Plantscription with SPF 25, it is perfect for me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please listen to your customers!! This new formulation is terrible! I have been a loyal Origins customer for years and loved the Perfect World moisturizer. It was so light and kept my skin feeling fresh with a clean scent. Now it's so tacky and thick and smells like sunscreen, yuck. I thought about switching to the spf free formulation as I don't need spf 40 all day during Wisconsin winters, but those reviews are just as negative. I'm not sure why you have indicated no plans to change back to the original formula as it seems you will be losing lots of loyal customers. I will be returning mine and finding a new brand. Too bad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from greasy I've been looking for a moisturizer with SPF for a long time and was hoping to try the perfect world one with spf 25, but realized it was discontinued and I had to try this new one instead. I'm 27, have acne prone skin, and don't really like wearing makeup besides undereye and spot concealer. This is just way too heavy and has made me shiny from the moment I put it on. I got this because I wanted something I didn't need to put a powder/concealer over to walk out the door and unfortunately this just doesn't deliver, I'm going to return and try the Dr. Weil's one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Feels like heavy sunscreen The 40spf is appreciated but it feels like thick sunscreen, nothing like any skin cream I have used before. Being in my mid 30s with normal to dry skin but still prone to small monthly hormonal breakouts, my skin needs a cream vs lotion but this one just doesn't feel like it soaks in fully (I get monthly professional facials/peels along with light exfoliation at home so skin build up is not my issue) Too lazy to return in mail or go to store so I will use it here and there or give to my mom who is in her 60s to see if she likes it. Will not purchase again

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Something of a disappointment I have used and loved A Perfect World Age-Defense Moisturizer for years. After learning about the reformulation of this product and reading some of the reviews, I decided to search for another moisturizer with sunscreen. I tried two, but found them to be heavy and greasy. Reluctantly, I ordered A Perfect World SPF 40. It, too, is heavier and greasier that I would like, but I will continue to use it because I believe in Origins products. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Origins responded to our dissatisfaction with the 40 SPF and offered our old favorite? (My dermatologist says that a 30 SPF perfectly adequate.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back the old formula I have been using this moisturizer for many years, back to when there was a choice of a lotion or cream. Then they reformulated the cream to SPF 25, a delightfully smelling, light feeling, easy to apply cream. They should have stopped there. the new SPF 40 formula is "gloppy" and thick. It is so thick, it feels like it is blocking my pores. When I use the same amount as with the old formula, I do not get the same coverage because it does not go on smoothly. As per Origins suggestion to try Plantscritptions SPF 25 moisturizer, I did and it is also too thick and smells bad. I will be looking for a new moisturizer and unfortunately it won't be from Origins. Caution about older positive reviews, they are most likely for the old version.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It used to be the best This cream used to be the best in the world. I have dry skin and this was the only one that was carrying me through the day without worrying if my skin is looking good. The white tea component was clearing my face giving it a healthy and clean look. The best cream ever. ..But you changed something in the formula. Now this cream is too greasy for my skin, smells like banana boat sunscreen overload, and is heavy to wear. If I touch my face after hours wearing it, I can "scoop" the grease from my skin. I'm so disappointed that this cream is that bad now. Please give back the original formula, and I will be buying it again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ehhhhhh worthy I was excited to try this. I use the standard version of this without the SPF and it's my holy grail moisturizer. At first I was like "yuckkkk it's so thick and I have to drag and maneuver it to even work it in". I loved the sheen and my skin felt plump. It left a slight white cast though. I then added some of the original (without SPF), in with this one and it blended better. I shouldn't have to combine 2 products of the same line for it to work and for it to be so expensive. There are ways around it but it's too much to have to do.
