Rated 1 out of 5 by from BEAUTIFUL, but very poor quality I picked these in 2009 because of the beautiful and classic appearance with the lovely floral border -- a dish that seems to match everything. I was disappointed because of the following reasons: --1. Very fragile finish that chips easily --2. The dish itself states it is microwave-safe, however, it becomes extremely hot without even allowing the food to heat, as well as letting off a stench. I have had at least one break in the microwave. --3. They molded, yes, molded, within the dish as well as without. --4. A stench grew on the dish. Every time I opened the cabinet a strong and sickening smell came out. --5. There is no quality control on the design. Some of mine were gorgeous like the picture. Others had a floral border that was blurred and blobby-looking and hardly looked like flowers at all. I finally threw them away last year (2017). I do not think something so stench-filled can be safe to eat on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst purchase ever! These seemed to be exactly what I wanted for a change. I had two other sets of Pfaltzgraff dishes and was very pleased. These are awful. I have more chips than dishes! I live alone so I am basically the only one washing them and they chip very easily. Also the statement that they get hot in the microwave is an understatement. If you heat anything for longer than about 15 seconds you MUST use a pot holder to remove the dish from the microwave or you will get burned. I do not like these dishes at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do Not Buy These! I loved the country style. We have had ours for less than 4 years. Almost every single dish has chipped, and not only shipped but on the inside where the food goes. These are not chips from dropping, or misuse. The chips are from "normal" use and they chipped in the worst place possible. We stopped using them because I am afraid someone will end up getting hurt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Country Chic I love it! Be sure to read instructions on how to handle it and you will not be disappointed. The only change I would make would be better uniformity in painting to bring out the raised design detail. Although it is hand painted, some detail seemed to lack any painting at all. This is the light tan painted on the raised design. They need better quality control.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Returned Within Two Weeks I had been looking for white dishes for quite some time and really liked these. The store didn't have the 4-place setting box sets in stock so they ordered them for me and had them shipped to my house. I unpacked, washed and was pleased with them. I used them, ran them thru the dishwasher, unloaded and stacked in cabinet. Next day I took a plate out of cabinet and there was water standing in the plate underneath it, and the one under the next and so on. Short answer: After some experimenting with using and washing them, then stacking and waiting, it was confirmed that they (plates/salad plates) were absorbing water in dishwasher and leaching it back out thru the unsealed rim on the bottom when stacked on each other in the cabinet- still wet to the touch 48 hours plus after unloading. They were still leaving damp areas on each other from the unsealed bottom rims 3 days after washing when I returned them to the store; no kidding- the store customer service person told me they were wet when she was checking them for return. Belk was awesome, as always, on the return and I bought some different dinnerware. This is a product quality issue and I don't want to eat from dishes have soaked up water and soap in the dishwasher and then leached it back on on each other in the cabinet. ICK! I would recommend choosing something else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love These Dishes I have had these dishes for a year , I love them! I'm buying two more 4 piece place setting for charity day. I haven't had problems with them at all. Google earthenware to understand the product better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible! The china chips in the dishwasher and gets extremely hot in the microwave, we registered for it for our everyday wedding china and wish we had not! It's beautiful but wish we had something useful that didn't break all the time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disapointed I was excited to buy this set of dishes. I had a set of Pfaltzgraff dishes I bought in the late 80's and am still using. I wanted something new so when I saw these I just knew I would love them. Wrong! I love the look but they are no where near the quality of my old ones. They chip easily and if you use them in the microwave they get fine cracks through out the piece. They also get very very hot. Definatly not worth the price and not worthy of the Pfaltzgraff name.
