Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pfaltzgraff Dinnerware set - Java My first Pfaltzgraff dinner set was the Naturewood and I used and loved it for years, literally at least 10+ years. Never had any problems with them, wish I hadn’t given them away. I also still have the Winterwood, which I LOVE but they discontinued it before I could buy more and I only have a set of 4 which isn’t enough when we have company. I decided I wanted something new so I decided to go with Pfaltzgraff again and purchased the Java set… The set is a simple design but looks really nice, until we started to use them. The salad plates were the first to show cracks in them one or two with in the first week. I was going to contact the company, but decided to wait and see if the rest were going to hold up. They haven’t faired well at all. I still have a few bowls left and the dinner plates (because we hardly use them), lost a couple coffee mugs (handles came off) the ones we still have the darker color on the edges in some areas looks like it’s melting(?) in to the lighter colors? It’s weird. I should have sent them back after the first few cracked and it’s been too long to do that now, just thought I’d let the company know and other buyers beware of this set. Maybe I just got a really bad batch?
