Rated 1 out of 5 by FadingAway from Markings fade These glass measuring cups really are not dishwasher safe. The markings fade after a few trips through the dishwasher. I have a four-cup Pyrex measuring cup I've had for years (probably more than 20 years) and the markings are still just fine. The paint you are now using will not hold up in an automatic dishwasher. I've read a tip that people should not to use citrus-based detergent, but that is a necessity in order to get the dishes clean--dishwashing detergent has also been "improved"--just a dash of sarcasm here. I've been on the hunt for a glass measuring cup that has embossed markings, since the paint you are putting on your cups is useless. If you can't find a paint that will not wash away, please consider going back to the embossed cups. I now have three glass measuring cups that I must toss in the garbage, and these cups are too expensive to use a few times and then throw away!

Rated 1 out of 5 by stie from Markings wear off In the past couple of years I've purchased a 1 cup and a 2 cup pyrex measuring cup. The red markings faded to a pale pink after a couple of washes in the dish washer. Didn't even last a month. I really like the pyrex cups but of course they are useless now to measure anything. One I thought might be a fluke, but two? I won't be buying anymore pyrex cups.

Rated 2 out of 5 by NorthernColoradoCustomer from Does not last like they used to The Pyrex brand would be something that one can be reasonably be equated with dependable, quality products. However, beware that unless you're willing to wash this product by hand in mild soap, its quality will not last past the warranty date. After two years of using the product and washing in a dishwasher maybe twice a month, the paint that marks the measure gradient has almost completely come off, making it useless to measure anything.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MomOfOneIndy from DO NOT BUY Measurement lines rubbed off within one month of purchasing. Thought it was a fluke so I got another one and the same thing happened. There's no point to a measuring cup that has no measurements. Don't buy this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by pyrex from Paint comes off I use this weekly for measuring out my milk for pancakes and after many washes In the dishwasher the paint is coming off. How can I use a measuring cup without the measurements? I'm thinking of trying to find something to mark it myself, but I really shouldn't have to do that. Plus it's supposed to be dishwasher safe; that's the whole point of why I bought this so I don't have to wash it by hand.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JulieC from Fades too quickly I use my measuring cup often. I do wish something could be done to prevent the markings from fading so quickly. I am left with a measuring cup I can't use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bummed Consumer from Not My Mother's Pyrex Cup I was excited to purchase these stackable measuring cups to save room in my limited cupboard space. I had been using cups purchased 30+ years ago by my Mom, but which could not be stacked. HOWEVER, they've become useless for measuring as the markings are faded to illegibility. Mom's non stacking 30 year old cups are still fine. So VERY DISSATISFIED and DISAPPOINTED with the Pyrex brand & will not likely buy measuring cups without embossed markings.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Cook in TX from Markings fade I have always had Pyrex measuring cups in my home. Had some that were 40 years old and marks had finally faded to unreadable. Got new ones at Christmas in 2014...a 1 cup & a 2 cup. Had been putting them on top rack in the dishwasher and marks have faded to almost gone. Need embossed marks or different paint. Love the style of the cups otherwise.
