The DW2171 Access Steam 1600-Watt Iron from Rowenta® has been specially designed to combine ease and efficiency. Select the type of fabric and the iron will automatically adjust the temperature and steam in accordance. In addition to a 300-microhole stainless-steel soleplate, the lightweight iron features a precision tip to access the most difficult areas and a vertical steam to help remove the wrinkles from hanging garments and drapes. The auto-steam thermostat determines the appropriate amount of steam and temperature of the fabric and the vertical steam removes wrinkles from hanging garments and drapes. A built-in anti-calc system removes impurities, ensuring long-lasting, clean steam and the anti drip system prevents water leakage when the iron has not reached its optimal temperature. After eight minutes sitting vertically, it will auto shutoff and if left horizontally, it will auto shutoff after 30 seconds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ChattyKathy from Great price on an incredible iron I had been looking for a reasonably priced Rowenta iron for my embroider and quilting needs. Found this by accident and it was on sale! Rowenta irons had a reputation for being long lasting and non scorching. Glad I was shopping at Belk.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CJ from This is a very good steam iron. I would buy Rowenta again. Using tap water for this iron is a plus. No more distilled water purchases. The iron is light and glides easily over the fabics. The tab to open for the water is hard for me to open however. And the black plastic makes it hard to see the level of the water.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Barb from I would not buy this product again & would not recommend it. The 1st time I used the iron I noticed that in normal ironing steam didn't come out of the sole plate. If I needed steam, had to use the burst of steam. In ironing a large item you almost had to have your finger on the burst of steam button which is very uncomfortable. I don't do a lot of ironing the past months I reread the directions thinking that I missed something as all other steam irons I used supplied a continuous supply of steam through the sole plate. Called customer support today & was advised that this is the way this model is designed using the burst of steam. Knowing this I would have not bought this iron.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kathy the former quilter from I have bought Rowenta's every time I need a new iron, I like the way that they work. This iron is a step down from my Professional, which I bought when I quilted more, and liked that it never shut off and was hot when I wanted.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mimi from No Steam! I am unable to get this iron to steam. It will when I push either button down, but there is not a continuous steam coming out.
