Rated 5 out of 5 by Moonchild from Best shoes I've ever had in my entire life I love these shoes so much that I set up an account just so that I could write a review. I was worried about switching from my long-time favorite Downbeats, but these Tenacitys are an absolute dream come true. It's like dancing on clouds. Sometimes I end up with Rykas that are too wide in the front, but these are perfect (or are just Velcro-ed that way). I wear them for Zumba Fitness classes, and if they weren't twice as expensive here in Switzerland, I would buy a second pair and wear them on the street. Most marvelous thing I've ever had on my foot. LOVE LOVE LOVE P.S. Dear Ryka, please don't ever change or discontinue the greatest shoe ever made. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Love2Jazz from Third Pair This is the third pair of Tenacity I have purchased because I haven't found a better brand nor a better Ryka brand than the Tenacity! I first bought the Tenacity because of the higher ankle support because I was having discomfort with lateral movement during Jazzercise. I have strengthened my ankles and lower outer calves to wear low tops. However, now that I am a Jazzercise instructor and work out at home and the studio, I need a comfortable shoe to take the "pounding" of my feet during high impact. It is also a shoe that feels 'broken in' when new, but yet comfortably supportive!

Rated 5 out of 5 by FancyDancer from The Best This is my seventh pair of Ryka Tenacity high tops. I teach Step, Zumba, Active Adult, ect., and I've never found a better shoe. When I first started buying Ryka's low cut, not high top, years ago, they had some leather, so they lasted longer and had better support across the forefoot. I'm in about thirteen classes a week, and the moves push the foot toward the outside edge of the shoe. That's the first place they tend to wear because it's mesh now and not leather anymore. They are still the best shoe out there, regardless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fitdancerchick from Amazing for dance fitness I’ve just had it with Reebok and was looking for another brand that I can use for teaching dance fitness classes. This was highly recommended so I gave it a go! Wore it without breaking in, and I taught 2 hours and danced for another 90 mins later that afternoon and had no pain anywhere!!! It’s amazing! Ankle support, enough bounce, enough grip and I could also slide too! I also used a brand new insoles for my high arches and it fit like old shoes, super comfy! One advise I would give is to make sure you wear a crew socks as this is not a low cut style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Julygirlsx2 from Better than I thought I bought these because of a pair I had from 10 years ago were just too big. Getting back into Jazzercise they just weren't comfortable. This pair was the closest pair to the ones I had, so took a chance and ordered them... I LOVE them! They didn't take anytime to "break in", they give me exactly what I need to get thru Jazzercise! I will order these again when I need them!

Rated 3 out of 5 by ZumbaWithElaine from Disappointing My 2 pairs of the Downbeat (which were perfect but are no longer made) finally wore out and I had hoped the Tenacity would be the replacement. The description and look of the shoe seemed like it would be the one. One shoe never made it out of the box. Even with orthotics I could tell there was no stability. The ankle was very uncomfortable. The 7.5 in the Downbeat was perfect but too short in this shoe. I am a Zumba instructor and need more support and cushioning than this shoe offers. PLEASE bring back the Downbeat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gaillovesdiamonds from Great Dance Shoe I teach Zumba and this is the best shoe ever. Great support, especially the strap over the mid-step to tighten the shoe. My foot is wide in front and narrow at the ankle but I don't have any slippage with this shoe. I love the black color because it goes with everything. This is my go-to shoe for everyday dancing and I have bought multiple pairs. I do often replace the insole with a more padded, support insole, since I dance every day, but most could get away with using the insole that comes with the shoe.
