Slate is Dark!
I am sort of a linen snob, so keep in mind as you read review. When item arrived i was immediately concerned because it looked like so many of the micro weaves out there. They sheets have a soft finish but are very thin in my opinion. They hold up in the wash, only washed one time. NOTE the embroidery is only on one side of the pillows and not on the sheet at all.

Very thin
Sheets are very thin, expected thicker sheets for 1800 thread count. Feel more like microfiber material. They are soft but so thin you can see through them.
