Match Play Shorts is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 58.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Front Pockets Frustration I do not understand why UA golf has such an issue with the depth of pockets in their Match Play shorts. It's awful. I spend an entire round picking up tees, ball markers, divot repair tools, etc., that have fallen out of my front pockets. UA golf does not have the same issue with Match Play pants or Textured Match Play pants or shorts, so why this issue with the regular Match Play shorts? Are they manufactured somewhere differently than the others? Perhaps a place where people have smaller hands and don't carry anything in their front pockets?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from beware the pockets Great fit and style.Very comfortable to play in, especially in hot climates. (I live in AZ) Seem to be a little short compared to the 11" inseam advertised. However the pockets are very shallow. It's fine if you don't keep anything valuable in them but items can fall out very easily while getting in and out of a car or golf cart. I usually keep my money clip in my pocket while playing, but if I'm wearing these shorts I have to make other arrangements. It's a real pain. So I won't be ordering anymore of these shorts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great shorts. Below average pockets. Like others have said these shorts run on the small side which is an easy fix as you can just buy a size up. My problem with these shorts, and apparently I'm not alone, is the strangly shallow pockets. I don't get it. I have multiple pair of Match Play Pants and the pockets are fine. The pockets also aren't an issue on the Match Play Vented shorts. It's baffling why UA would make the pockets on just these shorts very shallow. All the rest of my golf apparel is UA and the weirdly shallow pockets are the only thing keeping me from moving over from a competitors shorts.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Shorts, bad pockets I love the Match Play pants so much as a golf trip to Scotland finally pushed me to buy some true golf pants. After loving them so much I immediately looked to order the shorts as summer approached. I agree with many reviewers that the pockets are just too small. I get they are golf shorts, but the pants are made for golf to and have excellent front pockets. I will not order shorts anymore, may start ordering the pants and having them turned into shorts if I don't find a viable performance short offering with better pockets going forward. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Different from BG 2.0 shorts Purchased 2 pair of MP shorts last week online with the expectation they were very similar to the BG 2.0 shorts. The BG 2.0 shorts are the favorite golf shorts I own. I was sadly disappointed. The MP shorts are a different cut and fit from the BG 2.0 shorts. The 2 pair I purchased were the same size at my BP 2.0's (36")...BUT: They have the same inseam (11"), however the overall length is 1" shorter in the MP's. The difference coming from waist to crotch. They also have a much thinner fit thru the thighs and hips. At 6'3, 195lbs, and in my 40's, I like to go for comfort over fashion trends, these are borderline for me, not sure if I will wear come golf season or not yet. The fabric and the new waist band are great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Pefect:-) These shorts are very close to being the most comfortable pants I've ever worn. There are times when I'm wearing them that I have to look down to make sure I'm wearing pants. They flex and move with your body in an unreal fashion. They run a little more snug than usual and you feel it in the crotch area while taking long strides. If the crotch area was lowered at least an inch would be awesome. I LOVE the stretchy pockets but they aren't deep enough. This is the worse part. My phablet cellphone sticks out and loose items fall out of my pocket. They're great plus for the course only but good for the before and after.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Crotch point needs to be extended Based on general reviews, I ordered a size 34 when typically a 32/33 waist fits me better. From a waist standpoint, that was a great choice as they fit perfect. Found the material and flexibility to be exactly what I would expect out of an Under Armour product but there are two key things that will keep me from wearing these shorts all the time: 1. The pockets are a bit shallow. Fine for golf balls or tees, but if you want to go anywhere before or after and put normal things in your pocket - iPhone, car keys - they're a bit small. 2. More importantly, the crotch point in the shorts is too snug for my taste. Even wearing Under Armour Boxerjocks which keeps things more together, it still feels a bit off. It's not so bad once you get going in them, but your not getting that "favorite pair of shorts" feeling when you put them on.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Short shorts If these shorts were two inches longer, I'd order one of each color. I'm 6'6" and they landed a little too high on the thighs. They fit great in the waist and crotch and materials were good. Hope they come out with a longer inseam.
