The Viking Pressure Cooker features an easy lock lid, simply place on the stock pot and turn the knob to lock into place. The easy to use pressure control valve adjusts to low (1-8 PSI), high (8-15 PSI) pressure or quick release. This pressure cooker allows the user to cook three to four times faster than conventional cooking methods. Once the lid is locked in place with your ingredients inside, bring the liquid to a boil. The steam is locked inside building up pressure and the internal temperature, and under high pressure food cooks more quickly. Pressure speeds up cooking time, concentrates flavors and tenderizes meats. When the food is done, remove the pressure cooker from the heat source and depending on the recipe, release the pressure naturally or quickly.
