Rated 1 out of 5 by lindy from Poor design This is the worst design for an electric knife that I have ever seen. You have to hold the safety button down with one finger while squeezing the control with the other. I do not have a lot of dexterity in my hands and was almost in tears by the time I had carved the roast. It is difficult to remove the blades as you have to squeeze both sides at one time to get them to release. I am all for safety features but this is over the top. Very disappointed in my purchase and will return it. Knife and blades are difficult to return to box as well. Very tight fit. Carved beautifully if you can get it to work. Not for those with limited dexterity.

Rated 1 out of 5 by StevenRock1992 from Bad Build Quality I bought this knife off of amazon.com it was unable to cut a single thing before the plastic gear melted inside the knife, yes i took it apart to see what went wrong. The pictures show the teeth of the gear are fine, its the bits on the side which are melted, those are responsible for moving the blades

Rated 1 out of 5 by Chef from Safety lock needs adjustment The safety lock on this knife makes it almost impossible to effectively use the knife to cut meat due to the fact that each time you release the operating trigger, the safety lock activates and must be deactivated all over again. I cannot hold the operating trigger while also holding the safety lock and this constant activation becomes a nuisance and inconvenience. It takes both hands to unlock the safety lock and press the trigger to activate the knife. This function needs to be reprogrammed to permit the safety lock to remain unlocked while the knife is in use - at least for a reasonable period of time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mschmidt0119 from Worked great at first, but blades dull quickly I purchased this to cut paper towel rolls, as I make my own baby wipes & it requires cutting paper towel rolls in half. The first time I used it, it worked great! I was able to cut 6 rolls, no problem, like butter. However, the next time I tried to cut them it required a little more effort on my part (I usually cut about 6 at a time). This last time, I could barely get through 1roll, and I really had to push to get it through the whole roll. I really didn't think the blade would dull this quickly...I've only had this for about a month.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Scude from Very disappointed! I bought this to replace an electric knife that I had for 20 years that finally stopped working. This B&D knife worked OKAY for about 2 or 3 cuts & now it's basically useless. I don't know if it's because it's dull or the blades aren't moving properly. I did notice that only one side of the blades seems to move.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Hawk33 from Throw it in the trash Either I'm an idiot, the knife is defective, or it's just poorly made. 3 adults have tried to use it and none of us can figure out how to keep it in the "on" position. The safety is always on. It basically takes two hands to operate it which in turn defeats the purpose of using an electric knife. So, with that said, does anybody know if there is a way to turn the safety off while you're using it? Having a safety feature while using it is great if you are letting a 5 year old carve your turkey however it's not necessary for adults. Looks like I'll be using just an old fashioned knife today to carve the turkey, throwing this electric knife in the garbage and buying one made for adult use before Christmas.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Brett from Works good. Need replacement blades. I have been using this knife for about 3 months now and it is getting to the point where it won't cut through bread very easily. Can't seem to find replacement blades. Where are they available at?

Rated 2 out of 5 by MiMi from touchy trigger I purchased this knife for my mother to use cutting corn for freezing. It is very difficult to hold the button down to keep it working. If it is not in just the right location, it will not work. It is also difficult for her to get the blades in. I am going to have to look for another knife. I have the "slice right" from years ago and love it but this one was definitely not worth the money, unless we just got a defective one.
